Keeping Custom Bones with Auto-Fit

Hi folks,
I've got a G9 skirt with a bunch of custom bones and rigged dangly bits. I already went through the process of creating a "fitsuit" for G8F so that I can auto-fit G9 to G8, that's not a problem. The problem is that custom bones are lost with Auto-fit, and the only tutorial I know of for keeping custom bones was an old SY tut that was pre-weightmapped generations and no longer works.
Is there a way yet to auto-fit to G8 without losing any custom bones, or alternatively, use the transfer utilty and a combination of G9, the G9 fitsuit clone for G8, and the skirt to use the Transfer Utility to put the G8 bones on the Skirt but leave the custom bones untouched?

Re-rigging with Clone by using Transfer Utiltiy can keep the custom bones... if you tick Merge Hierarchies in the option of Weight Maps. (ss 1 )
Edit: However, you won't have any corrective morphs working from G9 version.... If you need them, you have to transfer corrective morphs from G9 version to G8 version by using Morph Loader Pro ~~ (ss 3) But in most of the cases, dForce item can just work well.
Thanks crosswind, I'll have to take a look tomorrow. After several hours if I keep staring at this project tonight I'm going to go cross-eyed. I think Merge Hierarchies is what I was missing, I was unfamiliar with this setting.
Ok sooooo...I literally have nothing in my "Extended Options" box...Dunno what to do about that, we're both on 4.22 Pro.
EDIT: NEVERMIND lol...I see now, like your screenshot shows, "Weight Maps" must literally be highlighted or the options won't show. Leaving this comment here in case anyone else makes the same mistake I did

Just take your time ~~
I believe everything worked out well. Now I just have to reorient the joints on all the dangly bits because they were never done really well in the first place, but alas that has nothing to do with this problem T_T
Thanks again!
Sounds great !
