Theo for G3M

I am unable to produce the hairy arms as shown in Theo's promo image. I've tried both arms1 and arms2 materials. I've tried both Iray and 3delight render engines and their corresponding materials. The arms look the same in each render (smooth as a baby's behind). Am I missing something?

There are two image files for the arms...if you look at them in an image editor (VX_Theo_Arms 01.jpg and VX_Theo_Arms 02.jpg) are they the same?

If they aren't, is the material preset for Arms 01 showing the correct diffuse image file, probalby the Arms 01 image for the Arms 01 preset (same for Arms 02)?   If both are showing the same map...open a support tickect with that information.

But the arm hair looks more like an add-on hair, like http://www.daz3d.com/real-hairy. ; The limb/'pit' hair transfers well from G2M to G3M.

Thank you for this tip. I checked the images as you instructed in Photoshop. They are indeed different with one of them having a spot of armpit hair. Not what I wanted! I am very disappointed in this product because I believe you are right about the promo showing an "add-on" hair product from another vendor. Not cool! I will ask for a refund. Thank you again!

Most of the promos don't show arm hair (some have the arms covered with clothing, etc) so it's hard to say if there really is supposed to be a 'hairy' arms.

But if you look closely at the hairy one, you can see some hairs standing up from the skin.  In Iray, that level of displacement would be impossible...the amount of subdivision would eat a boatload of memory.  So that's why I thought it was a geometry based hair product.
