Ctrl-0

Wow - I'm really not sure what I've just done - many thanks in advance for any help. I was working on my Killer Croc piece last night, and decided that I wanted to restore the default pose of the character, so (please remember, this was late last night, lol) I pressed 'ctrl-0', whereupon the entire object of Croc goes ghost white, clothes, reptile skin, etc (please see first image). I shut down Daz, re-opened the program.... and upon opening any file, the image appears as a white object - but here's where it gets weird - then immediately starts to render as if Iray is being employed (I do not have an Nvidia card for my PC). Image 2 shows this process. My default render is 3Delight, and that seems to work fine (image 3). I reset the DB after exporting my data, and then re-imported the data, to no avail. When any file is opened in any tab, an Iray type of render immediately progresses. Again, this happened after I pressed ctrl-0. Please help!

You have the iray preview set to On.

In your screenshot, look next to the viewport view setting(it's currently set to Perspective). That small square means you have the iray preview set. You can change it by clicking it and setting it to one of the other preview modes. I like to ue textured.

Also, you just discovered that you don't need an nvidia card to use iray. :)

It does make it faster, but you don't need one for it to work.

I wonder if pressing Ctrl-p puts the program in Progressive render mode and that was what you pressed rather than Ctrl-o. Only I guess as I have no idea if that can happen blush

  • MANY thanks - I should pay more attention to the dialogue of the screen. Everything is back to normal (also, thanks for the intel on not having to have an Nvidia card to use Iray). Thanks again everyone for all of your help!!
