rigging and geometry

hello,

i'm not quite sure how to assign geometry to modified rigging and their respective groups. is this done in rigging in relation to the heirarchy of the edited bones or in geometry and redistributing and assigning the original geometry to the edited rigging. in the geometry editor i see the original groups for 12 bones with the associated # of polies.  i edited the rigging to 6. how do i reassign the left over polies for new group of 6?  thanks

  • Click the + next to the unwanted group to seelct all of its polygons, then right-click in the view port, Geometry Assignment>Assign Selected to Face Group>desired face group. Delect all and repeat for the next group.
