Scene building and RAM

Is there a way that DAZ Studio 4.9 did use a Temp Folder during Scene building instead of RAM?

I´m asking because I only have 10GB RAM installed and my actual Scene uses a simple Hallway and 3 Figures (two Genesis 2 and 1 Genesis 3 - including clothing) and if I add a fourth one I can`t do anything after the adding.  I can switch between Panes and I can start other Programs (even Graphic Programs work fine) but I can`t add anything to my DAZ Scene; no Hair, no Clothing, I can`t even pose a Figure or move it around. DAZ Studio Troubleshooting say that their is not enough random access memory but Task Manager say their is only 80% RAM in use.

Is their a way to configurate DAZ Studio that it uses a Temp Folder on the HardDrive instead of the RAM... so that I can add more than 3 Figures and additional items?

Increase your swap-file... or turn it on, if you have turned it off.

If Daz is complaining, you may be using in-scene detail that is not needed. (Sub-division levels... turn them down to 1 for the view, and leave them up for rendering.)

Are the objects using the HD textures, or do they just have a LOT of materials that have huge images?

3 characters is a lot for only 10GB... When clothed and with high detail hair... Each can be up to 5GB, so two would put you at your limit, and a third would just fail to load. (You still need render-space too, for the rendered image layers, in RAW pixel RGB-A space.)

Unfortunately, your video-card needs to place everything into RAM to use it. You can not display images from a hard-drive fast enough to "see". Even on the fastest RAID SSD setups.
