White screen

I have a problem that I don't quite no how to fix! I re-organized all of my Daz files so that they would all be in just 2 locations! When I did this it couldn't find most of my files! So I restored my computer to the day before thinking that this would restore everything. What happened then was I couldn't make any detailed changes on any of my products for instances it did not give me any options to change anything on my figures  or clothing! There were no clothing adjustment available any where on the parimeters menu. Then I thought that I might have to uninstall and re-install all of my products and maybe that would help! When I uninstalled all of my items I forgot that daz studio was in that list so then I had to start downloading everything all over again. I stopped that process because it was taking to long so I restored my computer to an earlier date again. Now when I pull up daz studio I get a white window pane but the grid in the middle is grey everything is scattered and hard to find! Any suggestions?

I spoke too soon! I have all of my regular selections in my parimeters pane for my figures but not for my clothing! I can't make any adjustments to my clothing!

Is the clothing loading but not posable/morphable/both, or is it not loading at all?

It's loading but in the parimeters pane it doesn't give me options to make adjustments like it use to! I uninstalled and re-installed one of my dresses and now the options are available! I don't want to have to do this with all of my clothing!

Please post a screenshot showing the item selected in the Scene pane, the Parameters pane, and the Content pane you loaded from.

Where is the snapshot tool on Daz 4.9?

For what? The Spot render tool will let you drag a rectangle over aprt of the view port for a partial render - that's in the Tools menu. However, assuming you want to take the screenshots I asked for above you need to use the operating system tools - in Windows I would suggest using the Snipping Tool which lets you select an area of the screen and save it to disc for attachment to  apost.

Sorry the snipping tool was what I was looking for, for the above problem that I am having!

What operating system are you using?

If Windows, it should be 'connected' to the 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard...

    I'm using Windows Daz 4.9

Snipping tool is in Windows Accessories in Windows 10. Snipping Tool is part of the Windows operating system. It is not provided by the Daz Studio application.

When you hit Print Screen on a Windows computer, the screen capture is stored in the Clipboard, unless you have installed some other screen capture tool and configured it to do something different. After Print Screen, open a graphics program (Paint, Photoshop, the GIMP, etc.), open a new document and then select Paste. It will paste your captured screen shot from the Clipboard into your new document in the graphics program. Save the document as a JPEG file.

Then in the Daz forum (here), select"Attach a file" below the editing window. Click on the Browse... button and locate the saved screen shot file. Click Open on the file browse screen. Then click on the POST COMMENT button like you normally do to post your message. Your screen shot will be attached to your forum post, like the one I attached here.

I don't have windows 10 I have windows 7! I remember being able to do this before with other Daz studios but 4.9 doesn't have it any were! At this point I don't know how to capture a screen shot! I'm having trouble with being able to for instance open a figures mouth. There is no option in the parimeters tab to make any adjustments to the face!

With Windows 7 just type Snipping in the Start menu and the tool will be listed - click on its name to launch as with any other application. Once launched it will be ready to take a screenshot, so just drag a rectangle around the area you want, then click the disc icon in the Snipping Tool toolbar to save. Click the New button if you want to make a second screen shot.

Those morphs appear to be working - what is it that you should be seeing and aren't?

  • jodycourjodycour Posts: 137

It use to give me the  options to open and close the mouth, eyes, tongue, adjust the size of the breasts etc. Now it doesn't even appear there! This is on all of my figures!

Those are morphs on the figure, not the clothing. If you had Show Hidden Properties set in the Parameters pane option menu (the lined button at the pane's top-left in your screenshot, or right-click on the tab) then you would have seen any transfered morphs generated by DS or custom morphs added by the creator to match the figure morphs.

This is a screen shot of a figure that you can't see any normal facial adjustments!

Did you have the PowerLoader dialogue pop-up when you loaded the figure? If so, did you select at least the base morphs? If not, did you inject the base morphs at least? It might help to expand the entry for the figure (click the arrow next to Victroia 4.2) so we can see which groups are showing, and I would suggest turning off Show Hidden Parameters as it is apt to be confusing.

Thanks unchecking the show hidden parameters did the trick!
