FBX exports distorts G3 mesh facial features

Does anybody know why FBX exports appear to distort the genesis 3 mesh once imported into a package like 3ds max or maya?  Especially around the eyes and mouth and the teeth shrink a great deal as well with gaps in-between, kind of disgusting actually.  I know it has something to do with the subDiv.  I try to include that info upon export but it doesn't appear to take.  Even using openDiv in Max or Maya does little to correct the distorted mesh.  For this reason I continue to use Gen 2 for animation outside Daz which needs more corrected skinning but facial features and body shapes at least remain the same.  I gues it must be that special sauce Daz uses for gen3 geos can only be used/projected in Daz.  Dont't know.
