G3 figure into Poser 11 problems

Could someone advise me please?

I have purchased the Olympia 7 pro pack and have downloaded and installed DS 4.9. I have also upgraded my Poser to version 11, to work with G3 figures. I have converted Olympia through Dson to her Poser compatible form and transferred the resulting four files to my poser Runtime. However when I install her - nothing appears! A Cr2 file is read, and she appears to be added to the scene (i.e. her name appears above the left of the preview screen, and her body parts appear to have parameters (though these appear to be basic default ones). However she does not appear in the preview window, nor when I render, additionally both the simple and advanced pages of the material room are completely blank.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as the expense of both the Olympia pack and Poser 11 have upped the ante on finding a solution to this!

Go to the poser forum on renderosity, the first item is about using g3 figures in poser. You can find a link to a FREE tool to achieve this.

I have not tried this so i can not tell you how this works.

This is going to sound silly maybe, but have you also downloaded and installed the Genesis 3 Female starter bundle into Daz Studio? Olympia 7 is really a character for the G3 Female, which is the base figure. Without that one, nothing for the 7's will work right, not even in Studio. It's free and should be in your downloads.

Hi guys, thanks for your replies.

Slowmichael - I have downloaded that but it seems to be primarily to enable the import of expressions which was not possible before (though importing G3 figures was) I have followed the various written and youtube tutorials to the letter and still haven't managed to import a visible figure.

Byrdie - No such thing as a silly suggestion with me, I've often made a dumb error right in front of my nose! In this case I have installed all the G3 (and earlier) essentials packs, and Olympia 7 works fine in DS 4.9. I just love my Poser though, and really want to get her working in that, which seems to be doable (for other people at least!). I have also installed Genesis Essentials and Genesis Essentials Poser CF into Poser 11 (as I read somewhere these were also required) in the hope there was a script or plugin in there that would make the magic happen. But still no luck.

Slowmichael- Thanks for the Rendo' pointer btw. I just checked back there and see there is a whole thread related to this very issue (so its not just me for once!). I'll loiter around there in the hope of a fix. It seems its probably a DSON importer issue, as some earlier versions appear to work properly (i.e. 1.1.39 beta). Now I need to see if I can track down this earlier incarnation.
