Well, for the reason i implied. I have a bunch of existing scenes, presets etc etc...that im worried will get all buggered up or not be compatible. Seemed like there was mention of something like that in the release nots on it. No?

ParticleFX DS4.0 is already compiled and The Basic Version Finished(Was almost finished before DAZ released 4.5)....

And as mentioned the Scene's/Pre Sets Compatibility between both versions of DS will have to be made sure that it will work on saving and exporting the Particles...Right now 3 outta 10 scene's and Presets crash DS4.5 that were made in DS4.0 to the desktop and ni info file generated...

So great news is alot of new bugs generated from the File format change thru DAZ have been squashed...On my old and slow computer thats great news...If I can run it...You can do it better and faster...

So whatever came of ParticleFx? Seems like this thread has gone cold. I was hopeful.I could sure use some animated fire for torches in my scenes.

    Not dead...
Trying to get another programmer on board...My current programmer is slammed at work so has had no time to play with PFX...Hopefully soon I will hear back from an awesome Programmer that has to only fix the save issue's...Also I have to restart redoing the Presets since I lost all in a double HDD fry...

Not dead just in between Programmers...

Ok great news once AGAIN all you DazStudio users...

ParticleFX DS4.5 is finally being worked upon once more...Due to my Previous programmer who got slammed with real job work hasnt been able to work on the plugin since last year...Well great news is that I have another AWESOME DS and other program coder on board he is very well known in the DS community(Cant tell you who tho)and he has my permission to let anyone know he is on board...So I sent him the last buildable files so lets keep our fingers crossed...Unfortunately most of a year and half of work on my part is on a fried Harddrives that both fried at the same time...But I know what I did so it shouldnt take me long in getting what was lost back into the plugin...I am so excited..

    Thanks for all the Patience...

Can you still log into your DROP BOX account and go to the folder where I had the download link...?
If you were an email only, then I have you all in a special email folder waiting for the next build to send off...

The goood news is that I can still get into my dropbox account, the bad news is that your folder (/ParticleFX DS4.5) does not seem to exist any longer.

I have been at this CG game since Poser 2. My interest perked up when DS 3 had a couple of decent Plug-In along with some AniBlocks thus allowing me to create some interesting animations. Since this product is in beta level, it would be helpful to me to see some renderings of the different FX that is being developed. I am in the crossroad of taking training courses on the high-end application and it would be nice to know that DS 4 is no longer a big loser for me.

All I can say is yes..As soon as I get the the first beta plugin for distrubtion I will be doing tutorials...In the older DAZ forums we had a beta forum that showed some of the possibilities...
