DAZ Studio Beginner to Advanced

This tutorial is currently in sale and I would like to know how much of it is relevant to Daz Studio 4.9?

Is it good enough or if it's outdated?

I would say that if your planning to use 3DL then it is still pretty relevant. It may not cover some of the newer shaders that were used for characters though. I can't honestly tell from the information. If however your planning to use Iray that will not be covered.
