Daz Connect and My Daz 3D Library, two separate locations

Whether through my own hubris or not paying enough attention while downloading, all my Daz content is being stored in three separate locations.  There is the Daz Connect folder , where it looks like content is initially installed in a bunch of assorted, unorganized folders.  This is in the as part of the C:/Users/My Name/DAZ 3D folder that was created.  The other, more organized folder, is under C:/Users/Public/DAZ 3D, which is where I've been installing third party content.  I noticed this was an issue when I reimported all my metadata and wound up with duplicate icons from separate files of the same things.  I'd like to just get rid of all the Daz Connect stuff and merge it with the folder I'm really using, but I'm told that Daz sends updates through Daz Connect and I'd rather not lose any of that.  Aside from the annoying double icons that now exist, it's taking up twice the space.  So, what's a fella' to do?  My life would be a lot easier if I more fully understood Windows filing system, that's for sure.

If you install through DIM then updates will also be listed there (except possibly for purely metadata updates). Some items, however, will be available only through Connect. So, you could uninstall the Connect files or the DIM files where both exist and have the same content available - currently Connect content is not directly available through the files views but only through Smart Content, Categories and products (though you can add shortcuts to be used in the file views) - DAZ_Steve did say an update was palnned on this, though no details were given. Usign Connect for updates rathre than DIM does have one advantage, updated files can be downloaded individually isntead of having to redownload the whole zip in DIM.
