Help with DAZ Studio product

I was trying to get DAZ Studio 3.1 from my product library, I am thinking about doing an upgrade on Windows and I was told that if I did I would lose all my programs saved on my Hard Drive, so I am backing everything up to my extermal Hard Drive, where I have all my DAZ Studio Content as well as the main programs. In other words when I click on DAZ Studio on my computer instead of the regular HD, it goes to my External. Problem though is if I install the upgrade I will lose my link to my External and the assosiated program for both DAZ Studios (3.8 AND 4.9). Now the gist of the problem, I saw that DAZ Studio 3.1 is listed as inactive but I was trying to download it so I can have a backup to it as well as another installer to put back in my library, both files though came up empty. Like there is nothing in them. Anyway I can get an installer for DAZ Studio 3.8 (or at least 3.1) so I can do my Windows 10 upgrade, please and thank you.

I don't know where you got your "3.8" from but the latest version of DS3 was 3.1.

It's listed as "inactive" in the product library because it's not available anymore from the store. If you had the advance version you can still download it from your product library though.

If you used DS3 standard though I think all you had in the product library was the content pack, so you'd need to contact support to get the installer.

It doesn't matter where the applciations are installed, if you do a clean isntall of Windows you will lose them as the "plumbing in" will be wiped (applications that run without any plumbing in will be fine as long as the files are still present). An upgrade isntall, however, will not do that and people have been reproting success doing those from Windows 7 or 8 to 10.

The downloads for 3.1.2.32 seem to be in my product library OK. Inactive just means it isn't in thes tore, not that the downloads are deactivated.
