Using DAZ Genesis Character with Faceware in Motion Builder

Hey everyone,

maybe someone has done this before and share some insights on his or her workflow:

I want to use a DAZ Genesis (2 or 3) character and use Faceware facial mocap solution in Motion Builder. The basic overview of this process is demonstrated here:

Can this be achieved with a DAZ genesis model? Does genesis characters include facial blendshapes that I can export in FBX and connect them in Motion Builder to the Faceware plugin? If not can they be bought on DAZ store or how can I add such blendshapes to a gensis character?

Thanks,

Florian

....it seems that there is no system of capturing facial movement that works for DAZ STUDIO characters.

It seems that the pipeline DAZ Studio > Motion Builder with Faceware plugin is feasible. I can export the facial morphs from DAZ studio and then map them in MotionBuilder to the faceware client.

Genesis 3 has bones, while I have never used facial capture software I Have imported iClone facial motion plus  bvh files on it in DAZ studio a PITA in that I need to tick every bone every time  in advanced bvh import settings but otherwise works.

So it it can use bones it should work.

Can you export a BVH file and apply it in DAZ Studio to a character too?

I searched for years for a solution for capturing facial animation. And I have not found one that works for DAZ Studio characters.

    Brekel is of poor quality.
    Faceshift is not supported.
Zign Track 2 says it is comparible but it was not.

It seems that Faceware could be the solution, could anyone help with this?
