Figure Height (newbie question)

Is there anyway to specify the height of a figure? In other words, if I know the specific height of a figure, is there a way of adjusting a figure to a given height? Is it done through "Scaling"?

Thanks in advance.

On the store there is "Measure Metrics" to do it.

Or build your own ruler.  Create a primitive plane exactly 1 meter in size.  Rotate it 90 degrees along the X axis so it faces 'forward' (Z+).   Put it behind your figure.  Switch to non-perspective front view.  Scale the plane until it exactly matches the figure (making sure to keep its bottom lined up with Move To Floor if necessary).   If you scaled it to 180% , it is 1.8 meters and so the figure being measured is also 180cm tall, or about 5'11".

You can get fancy with this.  For example, if you have an image that shows a 2-meter scale (like a police lineup scale), you can apply this to a correctly-sized plane and use that as a ruler, etc., etc.

EDIT. Ah, re-reading the question, neither of us answered it properly.  Yes, you can scale a figure to achieve the height you want; but that's frequently not going to result in a quite realistic figure (since shorter or taller people will usually be proportioned differently).  There are morphs in figures for extending arm and leg length that may do the job; or you can scale the figure and adjust the head scale and other proportions until the result looks right.
