Non standard ear shape distorts hair

How do I fix hair that suddenly become distorted by a character's elf or otherwise non standard ears? Whenever I add any genesis 2 long hair to a character with pointed ears, the hair morphs around the ears creating a bump in it. How do I fix this so that the hair flows around the ears? Older hair models like Glyn don't do this. Here is an example of what I mean:

In the scene tab select the hair, then go to the Parameters tab. Click on Currently Used (it is one of the top three lines...All, Favorites, Currently Used). Find the ear or head morph and dial it back to zero.
I must be doing something wrong. When I click on Currently Used, all it wants to do is change the "fit to" parameter.
You may need to enable 'Show Hidden' (click on the little icon that looks like lined paper)...some have the 'hidden' attribute' turned on.
Thank you very much. That worked perfectly! I've been playing with Daz for seven years now, and am still learning something new almost every day.
It all has to do with what the auto-follow settings are when the item is made...sometimes having them set one way messes up other things than just the ears.
The ultimate fix is to make a fit morph for each hair/ear combo...which is nearly impossible to do from a PA's side of things, because to do that you need every ear morph around...
Richard has several posts on how to do more...I'll see if I can dig up any (I should have one or two bookmarked...)
Sickleyield has a video on her youtube channel showing how to do this
Thanks much folks!
One not-so-small gotcha — note that this trick only works if the character's head morph uses a separate ear morph. If the ear shape is included as part of the character's head morph in general, there's no way of dialling back only the auto-followed ear morph (because there isn't one) in the hair. It all depends on how the character morph was put together.
