Allow Platinum Club credit to be used whenever a member wants.

It would be great if Platinum Club discounts can be used earlier. For example if we did not have to wait a month to use our PC credits. It would be great if there was an option to use our next month's credit (or even all our credit) when we wanted. That would be a win for us and a win for Daz because once used we'll need to purchase more PC credit.

You don't get PC credit.  WHat you do get is  PC items at greatly discounted prices, plus 2 coupons each month, which can be used during the month in question, with specific criteria to get them to work.

You mean like as if the PC coupons were store credit instead that you could use or bank however you wished? IIRC that's how it used to be before they went to coupons. Was $6/month store credit every month, but the non-daz original vendor coupon didn't exist back then.

That would mean spending $70, and getting an instant $144 for it. I can see why it would be a win for us, but why would that be a win for Daz? :)

No  wasn't store credit, it was a voucher,  It was automatiacally placed in your account, was still only valid for the one month and still had restrictions as to what it could be used on.

It was credit-like in that it was automatically applied (although I think there was an opt-out), and could be used across multiple orders.

Yes, that one! Although for some reason I thought I remembered being able to bank them. It's been quite a while and my memory is very fuzzy. lol

Atleast they should be allowed to be carried forward (even if for a few months) if not encashable in advance.

It was always only available for the month it was issued for, right back to the start of the PC in October 2002.  That was part of the Original rules.  Vouchers, and now Coupons always have end dates.

If I understand correctly, coupons can be redeemed immediately as store credit to avoid tracking their end date. Or is there a catch there as well?

That is not correct.   Only Gift certificates can be redeemed as store credit

Yep, for a moment got confused between coupons and certificates. What I meant was that the gift certificates also have an expiry date (an year from issue) which can be circumvented by converting them to store credit. In this part of the world we use the term gift coupons more predominantly than gift certificates :)

Coming back to the original point, a modest approach could have been to enable a certain percentage (say 50%) of the accumulated benefits from monthly coupons to roll forward without lapsing the entire benefit at the end of the month. That way a person can be motivated to spend the entire benefit amount within the month or should they choose, use the accumulated benefits (at a reducing 50% accumulation rate) during (un)planned sales events throughout the year. If this accumulated balance is allowed to roll even further than a year it would also motivate them to renew their PC membership as well.

I suspect the whole point of the Platinum Club for DAZ is to encourage customers to make some purchases each month thus insuring a steady cash flow.
