lost morphs after reinstall

I formatted my computer because it was getting really bad. After reinstalling my library there's about 16 morphs missing from my Genesis 2. All of them were made after 4.9

How can I get them back?

This morph list has a whole bunch of morphs missing....

Did you back up and reconnect all of your content directories?

I guess for the past (since I upgraded to 4.9) when I go to Save as > Morph Asset(s) it dont save to my data folder... Everything Ive saved since I have upgraded is missing....

My question is.. Where is it, if not in my data folder?

I've worked very very hard on these missing morphs... It's very important that I recover them. One of my major morphs I have been working on for over a year was in those missing files. If Daz 4.9 is going to sponge up data in a cloud storage they should at least make it possible to recover it.... After I fix this... If at all possible. I'm going back to 4.8... 4.9 connect is by far the dumbest invention I've ever seen in my life.

Hi,,, Can not you remember,, where you saved  the morph before? sad

the morphs should be saved in one of your content directory, (which daz content directory manager assgined,)\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 2\Female\Morphs\your vendor name.   (or you set directory when you save morphs, default was "custom  "product" I feel,,)

if you had some root directory (eg DIM default install directory, and your library)  morphs are saved in one of them /data/ ....directory.

when you check DIM  option,, Can you find DAZ install directory of DIM?

maybe after up-date to ds 4.9,  you used the directory to save the morph,I think.(then it is not your default library),

did  you buck up them?  ("data"  directory,, whiere  you saved the morph)

I know where it should be... What I'm saying is that its NOT  in data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 2\Female\Morphs\your vendor name... Some are there. Some are not. I am blown away by this. It's so freaking weird. And it's also a HUGE HUGE HUGE set back for me. CRITICAL morphs were lost and I need to know why or where or when or how...

I formated my computer and reinstalled my library and there are a whole bunch of missing morphs... Missing, not missplaced, missing... I never changed the directory for where I save my morphs. Why would I do that? Daz 4.9 changed something going from 4.8 to 4.9.. The way morphs are saved has been changed and I'm trying to figure out this change...

Thing is, I was using these morphs yesterday... Meaning they were avalible to me.. Now there gone. I just dont get it... And the only explaination I can come up with is that saving the morphs it was saving to another directory... A Directory that is PART of the new 4.9. There's no way I could have been suing those morphs, if they were not there... right? Well.. Now they are gone... So where would they of been located if not in my data folder?

I noticed after I installed 4.9 over 30 gigs was freed up from my hard drive. Is there a cloud stage thing related to my account because that may be where my morphs are.

How were you saving your morphs?

I was working on some outfits and I would save them as scene subsets and such. Luckily I had copied my entire hard drive before formatting and upgrading to Win10. But I found out that Daz had needed parts of my outfits all over the place, so I had to find all the missing files and put them back where Daz was looking for them then resave them properly so they worked like Daz manual install of a product.

The morphs would haev been saved to a standard content directory (and even the Cloud directory is on your HD, not on a remote server). It's possible that you restored a directory one level too deep or too shallow, so that the Data folder is in a subfolder of the content directory or in a folder outside the content directory. If you check through your back-ups can you see the files there?

I've not really used any of 4.9's new features yet, but it really isn't cloud storage if it's stored locally is it?

It was never claimed to cloud storage...but rathere cloud delivery.

Cloud was mentioned and it was assumed to be cloud storage without any information other than 'cloud'...and it was confirmed later that the cloud was just delivery.

That's right - its cloudiness comes from the use of a network of servers to deliver downloads, once downloaded the content is local.

I formatted my computer, so if the backup's isnt located in "My Library" it's gone.
