Daz Studio don't have a way to change font size. Why ?

I use Daz Studio on 4K display.

UI text is too small to read.

Can I change font size to read ?

Short answer - they're working on it.

Slightly longer answer - the version of the QT toolkit (the code that actually drives the screen) currently in use does not offer capabilities to change font sizes in all aspects of the screen. The newest version does - but it will take a major re-write of the code that drives the appearance of the screen to make it work, and that has implications throughout the rest of Studio.

In other words, like most other things that use Qt...a major version upgrade.   I've been dealing with a lot of stuff that is updating to the newer Qt...and yeah...it's generally a major overhaul, not just a simple recompile.

You don't sound like a fan of QT

I'm not a fan of MAJOR changes in it...and there are a bunch.   It was bad enough going from Qt3 to Qt4...but 4 to 5 makes that look tiny.

You mean like going from GTK+ 2 to 3? I've read that some developers that were using GTK+2 changed to QT due to the massive rewriting thatwas going to be needed either way, and it waa less hassle to switch.

I have a similar problem with my 27" iMac. I'm 66 years old, and having vision problems. I've been using dual monitors for years. My solution was to un-dock the Content Library and move it to my 24" 1080p monitor. I keep the Document Window on the 27" iMac.

On a good day I can actually read the thumbnail descriptions! It's weird that my vision actually changes from time to time! Eventually I might just buy a 40-50" 1080p  LCD TV and use that for DAZ Studio. My old eyes are happy enough with 1080p!

is a 3D program but interface is related to your screen resolution preference!

    - you want bigger fonts ?

    - decrease your screen resolution,,,

I have the same problem on my Surface. The text doesn't respect the OS high resolution settings and lowering the resolution on the LCD screen is not a great solution, since it introduces weird aliasing and makes the text harder to read in a different way. It also makes other programs I'm using less usable.

My best solution is to run Magnifier and zoom parts of the screen at a time. I even have to do this in DIM.

I mentioned this in another thread. If you use glasses I would highly recommend a pair of magnifying lenses from Harbor freight. I have a 27" screem and the clipon mag lenses work wonders for me.
