Well, there is no real manual (post flintstones... 4.6) and has not been for many years, the information usually exists but it is spread out all over the internet and often created by non DAZ people, I assume as DS is free they do not see any reason to spend resources on a manual.
You can drag and drop and lot of things in to DS, a DUF file, OBJ etc and texture maps as you found.
Good to know, thank you. Navigating for textures can be so frustrating sometimes.

Ctrl L is useful when using IRAY as many figures/objects are black - as though without light. The shortcut turns on a light that doesn't affect rendering.

in past i put PZ3 full load scene from explorer to main view window of Daz
