Edited to add that no 4.5 notice was my error. Oops. Must be past my bedtime waiting for the new PA releases.

Mavka for Genesis is only 4.5 - definitely has a duf file. Is that noted on the product new release? Nooooo. Every time I turn around there's another thread about a problem with 4.5. I'll wait, thanks, and save my money, even though Mavka is a cutie. It would be really nice if the products had a note in the "requires" area. Even the readme just says "Genesis content base" or something like that, which not everyone would recognize as being the separate content file for 4.5. Annoying, esp. since most of us don't check the readme until we instal the product.

btw, thanks for the waitress morph fix assistance above.

Under "Compatible 3D Software" it says "DAZ Studio 4.5". It says the same for the Leafy Suit, Mavka Hair and the Mavka Starter Bundle.

Aaaak. You are absolutely right, Coldrake. I have edited my post. Thanks for pointing out that if I'm going to stick to 4.0 I have to pay more attention to that section.

Thanks for the responses from the Content Creators. I can understand your side of things a bit better now. I get that you see your chosen field as constantly in motion, with each change to D/S you have to hone your skills a bit more to match that change.
I am a digital art hobbyist. I have painted in oil and acrylic on canvas and even sold a few in the past. But now I'm retired and just use the computer to make digital art for fun. All I need are stable, useful programs to do that with...D/S4.0 Pro is one of my favorites. It already does what I need it to do.
We each have valid points of view, just different priorities,
I didn't get to be 59 without learning to listen and trying to understand.
My experience in working for 32 years in Quality Control for a manufacturing facility taught me a lot about change - and computers. Ninety % of my work involved using computers. The old adage that "Change is good" is only true when the change produces improved results.
I have no doubt that D/S 4.5 will evolve into a product I will want to move up to.
I just don't think it's there just yet.
But while waiting I still want to obtain new product I can use in the version I have. I don't think this is too much to ask.
I also think I'm not alone.
    Thanks,
    John

Then, to be honest, your experience should tell you about stuff being written to the official spec for quality control. Unfortunately, 4.0 isn't the official spec, 4.5 is. If the official spec is published, then to keep products consistent, they should be produced to that specification. Application issues aside, people providing content moving forward really need to provide it according to the official specification. Application issues can be sorted out much quicker than a content provider finding out their product doesn't work in future version and they have to redo it in order for it to function.

I will quote from my post:
"We each have valid points of view, just different priorities,"
Your point of view is valid. Your priorities are valid. I recognize your right to hold to them as principles.
