'Bright' intersection

Hi all.

I have this issue using AOA Advanced Ambient Light and some clothing objects (not all).
It happens with bare skin, too.

The picture explains better than my words:

Since often it is impossible to avoid totally the intersection between objects, is there a way to avoid at least that annoying effect?
Note that it doesn't happen with the shoes, which intersect the floor much more deeply than the jeans.

  • Try increasing the shadow bias, it should help.

There's no 'shadow bias' in the AOA Light. Do you mean 'AO Bias'?

  • I believe AO Bias is the equivalent for AoA Ambient Lights.

    Excerpt:

    • AO Bias - Like the bias setting on other lights, this offsets the occlusion shadow calculation a slight distance away from the surface to avoid self shadowing artifacts. Depending on other settings like Hit Sides - Both and AO Cone Angle, The Advanced Ambient Light can be a little more sensitive to bias than other lights. If self shadowing artifacts do appear either increase the bias, apply Sub-D to the geometry or try using Hit Sides - Front.

It was the Bias. I have to reduce it, not increase, but you put me in the right direction. Thanks. :)

Unfortunately, reducing the Bias too much creates artifacts with stockings in other pictures, so I have to find a compromise. Can't eliminate everything. :(
