Rendered images contains white dots

For some reason, images that I render contain white dots.  (using the latest Daz version..

Is there a setting for that?  using 3Delight rendering with the default settings

The image is very dark, if you are using Iray (which is the default) and have few, low, lights then it is going to have a hard time finishing.

    What lights are you using?

    No lighting has been used.

    No lights?

So that's just the camera headlamp?

Some lighting has ben used or you'd be getting the headlamp or a pitch black render. It may have loaded with the scene.

What is in the scene you are trying to render?

I had  Auto Headlam - When no Scene Lights

  • They're called "fireflies".

Generally it's a shading rate issue, and or lousy lighting.

Turn the shading rate, under render settings down to less than 1.00(default).

If you add in some real lights, other than the camera headlamp, it should take care of the issue.

a simple point light in the middle of the scene at about 3-5% with ray traced shadows on might take care of it as well.

I just turned of Headlamp   and added a spotlight.    now it looks better..  it's still rendering , but i will show the difference.

Had to change the density (i think)  do - a lot,  so my screen is dark, but the render looks normal..     not sure why that is ..

I had to change the spotight intensity to - 11,  so on my pc the image is black,  but the render looks like this

  • If you're getting a black image on you screen go to Window>Preview lights, or press CTRL+L, to turn on the preview light, it doesn't really have an effect on final render but will allow you to see what you are working with on screen.

It seems to work when I have 1 camera and 1 light  in a part of the scene.

When I add a 2nd Camera for a different Angle,  and a 2nd Light..    I can move the intensity all I want,  but nothing is changing ...

and for that render, I keep getitng those spots...     so it seems like the light is not working for that one?

When I move to Camera 1,  I can change the light and see it on the screen,  and the render is perfect,  but when i switch to Camera too,  the light ain't working..

Is there a setting for that?

Guess I am still running into this problem.

It seems if I use a dome for night time  I get those white dots as well,

When I render the windows are partially transparent, so i move the dome X slider so it moves down,  and the window is covered by night time,  it seems those dots are getting worse.

    Any suggestions for that?

ok, I am fighting this for 2 days now.

it seems like when I make the scene darker, i am getting those white dots all over the place.

How do I make the scene darker and having not white dots?  (  I turned the light all the way down and headlight is off)
