Deform surfaces?

Hi everyone! I've looked everywhere and can't find anything that addresses this question, so I apologize if it's a repeat!
I'd like to be able to deform the surface of a seat underneath the weight of a seated figure.
For example, I would like to have my Michael 7 character seated on a couch, and have the couch underneath him deform under his weight.
In Poser I've used the Morph Tool, and I realize that there's nothing like that in Daz, but I thought I'd ask to see what (if anything) other Daz enthusiasts do to address this issue.
Thanks!!

Cris, thanks a mint, that's exactly what I was looking for!
In DS 4.9, and a couple of versions before 4.9, DFormers can also be controlled by weight maps which increases the options available.
Hi Richard, thanks for that info!
