The product "buttocks work" has such presets for sitting on a chair or on a bar and they are very usefull.

The problem with presets is they do not cater for all shapes. It is why I did not make presets but instead made it an open system where you can customize the morphs to suite your character.

I'm busy finalizing it as we speak. Just finished Bend Control for the males.

That is great news!  I really could have used that Fit Control this week.  I'll be very happy when it hits the store!

well, two or three sitting presetr shapes for the glute would be a good thing to adjust from these presets on. Other thing is for the back thighs, or morph would be good that lower/highten the depht of the back thigh just for the upper part (for a chair rim) you know?

What we need also are some morphs for the thighs, if you sit on a chair the thighs become flatten on the back and the sides become wider, also you get a little "step" at the chair rim.

    that would be cool

The problem with a step morph is how far do you make it on the thigh? It is dependant on the chair prop. It is easier to just take the image into photoshop and liquify the thigh to create that step. I will look into the whole thigh widening aspect for sitting, and see how that will work.

I usually do this in zbrush as a "morph postwork". I don't know, if it can be done with a deformer as well. I do miss a quick morph brush in DS for jobs like this ;)

Actually for widening thighs for sitting, I found out its just easier to show hidden parameters, go to each thigh and adjust the X and Z scaling.

It just needs a flatten of the back thigh and widen the upper part underneath the glute, I think that will not work with the sclaing.

the flatten morph should be just for the back thigh and the widen just for the upper thigh (underneath the glute) scaling would not work for this I guess. What about spending a view $ to get "buttocks work" product to get some ideas out of it. This product has all these morphs (unfortunatelly two morphs are not perfect as written in another threat (not exactly equal deforming on both sides but this is just little difference)) I suggest this because if you do such morphs you can coordinate them with you bend control.

Can you post an example of exactly the area you want widened and flattened? From there I can see if it will work or wont as a morph that will work for multiple shapes. For me if I combine Glute Control with Bend Control, I get the results I want, so unless there is something very specific you are looking for result wise, I need to see an example. Eg Bend control has Rear Depth Adjust Thigh morphs that I use for sitting poses.

I will do some screenshots tomorrow of some of the "buttocks work" morphs, as written before, two morphs work not exactly equal for both sides but, I don`t know why but you have answered in another thread that this is a product issue not a figure issue (if you remember). But that does not matter, the morphs can be used even they work not exactly equal.

Using Glute Control and Bend Control. I have no issue making sitting in chair options that show lower compression of the glutes and widening of the upper thighs. You can even take it a step further by adjusting the x scale on the pelvis bone which will widen the glutes.

Yes, I have both of these tools but some "combination" morphs like a "sitting on a chair" morph would make things easier, sitting on a chair needs three morphs in my opnion. Both, Left, Right. Here are some screenshots of such combination morphs "buttock works" has. The first three screenshots will show sitting on a chair at 50% without bend control morphs, the next two will show the the sitting on a chair morph at 50% with your bend control for legs and hip at 75%. The last two will show a sitting on a bar morph at 50% without bend control.

I have forgotten to zero the glute inner close morph (sorry) but the screenshoot I think show what I mean.

The reason I did not create combination morphs or presets such as sitting on chair is because it will not look right on certain shapes if it is a fixed combo or morph. This is why I give users all the morph elements so they can create the sitting results themselves that will work on the shape they chose. Here is a test. Go apply that sitting on a chair morph from buttocks work on G3F with Heavy morph or some heavily modded alternative shape and tell me if it works like it does on default shape. Also try and move the legs slightly outwards or maybe move one leg higher than the other and look at the result with that morph dialled and tell me if the results still look good. Maybe then you will understand why I did not offer such a preset, because not every user uses the same figure shape, and not every user will apply it to the same sitting pose. So, the best solution, was to offer morph elements that will allow you to create your own sitting pose morph and expand the usage to cater for variety. I will not be offering these type of presets because they do not work on multiple shapes, and manual adjusting will still be required.

Again as mention the equal geometry issue is in that products morph and not the figure. Why not ask that Vendor to update his product to fix the issue?

I know that it is in the product but it is okay for me so far (if you use the morph carefully then the result is not so obviously - also a camera angle issue). If I have the nerve I will send a note to the vendor.

I do not how to do it or if it is possible, can I create such a multiple morph out of some your morphs?

  • Zev0Zev0 Posts: 7,089

Has nothing to do about nerve dude. If it is broken, you as a customer deserve a fixed update.

You can but only for personal use. Put figure in sitting Pose, use the morphs you wish to get the result you want, reset the figure pose and export the dialled morph combo as a new sitting morph then import that again.

ah okay, that means also, that I just have to use the glute morphs for example, nothing else, right, so I also have to reset expressions and all other morphs and shapes before? Or can I choose which morphs I want to export as a combo?

You can use whatever you want, doesn't just have to be glutes morphs. Eg you can combine with Bend Control morphs as well or any other morph package that gives you the result you want. And yes everything else must be default, expressions, shapes, poses etc or they will be present in your morph.
