Soap suds or foam?

Anybody seen any good textures or props for soap suds or soap foam?

I wanted for both skin and water surface.

I was surprised not to find any hits when searching for this.

Wanted to do something where a character was washing dishes in the sink...but am having trouble with the entire setup.

Soap bubbles and suds are particularly hard to render properly because it has a bunch of volumetric effects along with gloss/spec. There are a couple of post-process products, one being Ron's suds as photoshop brushes.

Spacebones has a set of objs that include foam and bubbles. You will have to set up your own textures but at least you have the objs. http://www.sharecg.com/v/25522/View/5/3D-Model/Liquid

Image shows the bubbles and foam used in 3Delight. Hope this helps.

Yes! This will be an expanded usage of a new product of mine that will be in the store in 2-4 weeks.

There have been a couple of "foam suits" made for Poser that that can work okay in 3DL, like Powerage's Foam & Soap and Ironman13's i13 CV01, both over at Renderosity, and Adam Thwaites has a free soapy skin as well as a free foam bath prop at Most-Digital-Creations.

This one will be Iray only but a 3DL version could be possible a bit later.

    I don't have it, but Ron's Suds ( http://www.daz3d.com/rons-suds ) exists.  It's 2D.

@Marshian you might want to talk to your erstwhile partner in business, Sickleyield, if you're going to do something with the Spacebones objects. I know she set them up for 3Delight at one point a while back.

Oh Yes Spacebones, I still have those! The product I'm refering to here is a brand new sculpt. The main usage doesn't actually look much like bubbles at all but a few little tweaks and its there. I discovered it almost by accident.

The same sculpt/model can be used for 3DL and I may be able to use some of the maps but converting it from Iray is going to take a lot of work on the surfaces.

If you have the V4foamsuit by Powerage, you can apply to a Genesis 2 or 3 geoshell in the diffuse channel. Then apply the appropriate transmap in the cutout opacity and set opacity to 0 for areas without suit (e.g. face) Looks really good, all nice and soapy. ;-)

    Ok, Here we go....foam party!

I discovered this while testing my new product: Above the Clouds for Iray: Nimbostratus

There was nothing at all to adjust materials beyond default settings for this image. Of course a massive reduction for the scale at .46%. The cloud prop is round so it will work great for glasses, mugs, and...fountains?

So that's a cloud reduced in size?

@Marshian: Wow, I never would have thought of trying that out. I can see why you stumbled across it.

thats right, with no change in materials. It is scaled down to .46% and stretched a little to fit the tub.

Always my goal to find more freedom in uasge. Originally I included the tub render in my promos but the team didn't think it was a good fit. That decision makes sense to me now especially knowing that when the product was released I could finally post in this "suds" thread.

Hi Marshian, is the cloud prop "bubbly" from geometry or a tiled displacement map? If it's the latter, I'd imagine the use case could be extended to poofs of foam as well.

It is both actually, in the promos you can see a render of the model without any texture. The texture is tiled so you can somewhat adjust the size of the poofs/puffiness.
