Koshini Question

In there store there are a bunch of items mentioning that they're for Koshini 2, but there is only a Koshini on sale. Ichiro is marked as Ichiro 2 also containing Ichiro, but she isn't. So is http://www.daz3d.com/koshini just v1 or does it have the Koshini 2 whatever makes it 2 too?

Koshini 2 and Ichiro 2 are part of Poser default content when you buy Poser. At least that's how I got mine.
The product file list says it includes Koshimi 1 and 2 so I grabbed it anyway and I'll try them out later and hope all the bits work together I guess~

(Why anybody whould buy these now that the full Koshini/Ichiro are at the same price - I don't know)
The main packs for Koshini and Ichiro contain both the 1 & 2 versions. :)
Iray shader freebies for them are incoming, LOL
(Downloaded mine yesterday, and will get some tasty Iray shaders ready for them by tomorrow for everyone!)
Anyone who knows where to find textures for Koshini? Never been able to find any either at RDNA or Rendo. Several nice ones on some of the RDNA promos so they do exist.
Okay, after some effort I managed to rescue her from the horrifying depths of the Poser folder system (hahaha, pose section.)
Still not entirely sure on the differences between K1 and K2 yet (I mean I guess one is newer, maybe the morphs are a bit different?)
- Anime eyes and blind eyes work on both K1 and K2. "real eyes" don't work on either?
- No idea what the difference between P4 and PP shaders are but they both work so whatever.
- I guess the refits section is to adjust K1 clothing you own for K2? Some of them work for me some give me not found errors since I don't have all the outfits.
Everything's kind of a mess because Poser folders are hideous but the only real issue I've come across is that the "real eyes" don't seem to want to apply to either figure regardless of what I do.

AFAIK PP shaders are for Poser Pro, though I haven't noticed any difference between the P4/PP versions in PP2010 and 2012.
And for K1/K2 they have different UV's (Kiki 2 can share textures with Koshini 2).

Man, I really want to support Lady Littlefox since she has so many interesting and unique characters (and there are still a few I want that haven't appeared yet) but dealing with these old files is such an immense headache. Since Genesis 1-2 Studio files have been so much better organised (and they're all labelled individually so you know what each file does regardless of its filename etc.)
Update:
After a bit more messing around, the chest morphs on Kishini2 don't seem to work properly at all, but they work fine on K1. The waist one works fine if you've clicked on the waist but not the chest, so I thought I might be on the wrong area, but haven't had any luck making the others work properly at all.
Still can't get "real eyes" to load any sort of shader for either model; no idea what I'm doing wrong there. All of the other eyes work just fine on either model.
Also, I'm giving up and going to bed now, but if anyone can locate the Kiki Clothing Pack 1 Romper Suit and/or Kishini Clothing Pack 2: Sugar & Spice, I'd love to know where they're hiding, because I've just spent way too long trawling through the Poser "folder system" and the Products menu searching.
Not quite ;) PP materials are for Poser 4 with Pro Pack, which was an intermediate version between P4 and P5.
The main difference for the materials was that P4 used a special format for the bump maps (.bum IIRC) and starting from PP they used jpg.
In DS or recent versions of Poser you should use the PP version of the materials if you have a P4 and PP version included.
You have named here the two exact outfits that Install Fail on DIM for me @lx , I downloaded and installed the files manually as there seems to be a bug, package downloads fine but DIM Install Fails without fail on every attempt. It may be the same problem, have you checked the "install" part of DIM to see if they are stuck there as failed installs?
Oops, you're right - those two are downloaded but the installs failed.

I seem to remember some texture packages in the Deep Freeze, but it was long enough ago that I may be connecting something to Koshini that wasn't hers.
But by no means all of the stuff from this era of 'Toon has made it over here yet. We've several more days of new/old 'Toon stuff yet to show up.
I was pleased to see the CDI morph pack show up for Kit. She did one for most of Littlefox's Toon people.
Ah ok. PP2014 was my first Poser version, so I wasn't using it long enough to have seen an upgrade during Poser 7.
Does anyone know if there are autofit clones for G1/G2 available for Koshini, Krystal & Ichiro (maybe even Kiki??)
Does anyone know if Krystal clothing is compatible with Koshini?
Some of it says it works with both. Not sure about others (would like to know too.)

Hmm that's odd. The school skirt and top are available as separate packages for Krystal and K2, but the shoes have only appeared for Krystal. I would say there may be a good chance of them appearing for Koshini in a day or two (since it's happened with several other products of those ranges.)
Oh, those items new today share textures between Krystal and Koshini versions; it was the texture addons that work for both that I was thinking of.
Quick render with some iray shaders. No issues so far except with the hair which has these trans surface channels. Im assuming that is poser functionality. It results in the hair looking very thin. Removing the trans map from the opacity setting seems to work ok. I havent had any problems with the morphs yet but I havent tested them all. So maybe not 100% daz compatible...yet?
I've reported that one, they've working on it now. Toon Courtyard has been updated and installs now.
