How Can I tell if I have the PostGreSQL Based CMS?

One of the warnings before upgrading to DAZ Studio 4.9 reads:
!! IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY MIGRATED FROM THE OLDER VALENTINA DB BASED CMS TO THE POSTGRESQL BASED CMS, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DO SO BEFORE LAUNCHING DAZ STUDIO 4.9 !!
I'm using DS 4.8. How can I tell if I have the PostGreSQL Based CMS? If I don't have it, how would I get that installed? I'm on a Macintosh (OS X 10.11.4), if that makes a difference. Also, if I do go ahead and install the PostGreSQL Based CMS (assuming I don't now have it), will it make DS 4.8 run less smoothly? Should I install it only just before upgrading to version 4.9? I really don't know much about computers, so I do need to ask all of these basic questions.

DS has been able to use PostgreSQL for some time - since 4.6 or 4.7. If you go to DAZ Studio>Preferences do you have a CMS Settings tab on the right, just after the Content Library tab?
Yes, I do have a CMS Settings tab, right after the Content Library tab. For the Cluster Directory it says /Users/my name/Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/cms
For the Port, it lists 1024.
But I don't know what to make of this. Is this telling me that I do have the PostGreSQL Based CMS?
Yes, those settings are for PostgreSQL. You should also then see Satrt CMS and Stop CMS commands in the option menu for the Content Library pane (lined button in the pane's top corner).
Yes, I do see Start CMS and Stop CMS commands. OK, thank you.
