BC MovieStands Twister 'Panels'

I'm trying to use the Twister from the 'BC MovieStands Twister' product and have these really weird 'panels' showing up in the render. I don't see anything like them in the viewport when composing the scene, and I can't find anything in the morph controls related to anything like them, so I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on what they are and how to 'adjust' them out of view? It may be related to all the twisting I'm doing to it, plus the fact that it's running at about 150% - 200% it's stock size, but I'm not sure.

Iray or 3Delight?
Oops... meant to mention that: 3Delight.
So I did some digging, and it seems that what I'm seeing is the 'Twister Wisps'. Not sure if it's related to the scale, but the entire twister has been enlarged to 178%. I dropped the wisps down to 100% but it didn't make a difference. I just don't know why those things would be so visible. There's not much in the way of adjustments for them. Now, I should also mention I'm not using a standard camera, but the AoA Fog Camera.
Check the transparency maps on them...
I took a look and couldn't find anything in the surface list for the wisps about transparency maps, but I did see that Opacity strength is 100%. Maybe I should drop that down half way and see if it does anything. I'll have to check that out tomorrow.
Thanks for the tip.
Opacity strength...and leave it at 100%. You need to look at the maps themselves. Click on the little icon that shows the map, selec Image Editor. It should show a Gamma of 1.0. If it isn't set it 1.0 and see if it then clears up the 'ghosting'.
I checked the Gamma setting the Opacity Strength and it was set to 0, so I set it to 1. Ran a test and it was the same. I did the same thing for the map for Diffuse color and set it to 1 from 0 and tested. Still have the panels. Not sure what else to check here. I suppose I could hide them. Without seeing the difference I'm not sure what they accomplish.
Then you may need to open the Opacity maps in an image editor and make sure that they are 1) greyscale, with no color profiles attached and 2) black and mostly white. The 'wispy' parts can be shades of grey, but the 'background' MUST be full black.
