Clicking Inside Graphmate Freezes my Computer until I Press CTRL+ALT+DEL

I bought Graphmate to assist me in creating animations by keyframe.

However, as soon as I clicked on the timeline of the Graphmate window, everything on my computer except my cursor becomes unresponsive.  I am unable to click out of DAZ Studio and pretty much do anything.  The computer becomes unstuck when I CTRL+ALT+DEL.  This makes Graphmate entirely unusable and it makes me cry inside to think I spent nearly $20 on software others have had success with.

I have already tried updating DAZ Studio and reinstalling Graphmate.  Those did not help me. I also cannot seem to get a log file that records what happened.

I'm not seeing this, with a similar (75pGTI) card. What are the rest of your system specifications, and which version of DS are you using? What is in the scene?

Do you get the same issue with a simple scene, such as a bouncing primitive? I must admit, on closer examination the GraphMate interface is not displaying correctly for me - but it isn't locking the system.

No I don't.  And that upsets me.

I bought Graphmate solely for making animations for Second Life that are as close to real as possible without having to use the incorrigibly contrived keyframe editor that was in DAZ to begin with.

Please open a Techncial Support ticket to report this, attaching a sample scene that shows the issue along with a note of the content used.

Wow.  Strange.  It is actually working with the SL Avatar mesh now.  I don't know why it is working but I suppose it is because I shut down my computer every night.

I've had this problem ever since Graphmate first came out, particularly annoying when most 3d programs include a graph editor for free that actually works. It happens randomly, and doesn't matter on the complexity of the scene. Happens more in some versions of Daz that others, which I why I'm sticking with 4.8. Tested on both Intel and AMD systems with 2 different Nvidia cards, always the same. Usually have to reboot and it "might" work.

Usually it freezes or sticks whenever you use the 2 pane maninpulators in the top-right corner or try to move around in the grid/move keys. It's random when it happens, doubt very much it's tied to any random scene or content just because of the frequency of the erros.

One of the reasons why I actually moved away from Daz to be honest, it's quite an important tool to have and for it to be maybe only working isn't good enough.

  • It is surprising. 10win_x64

freezes occur constantly, and isn't clear at all that with it to do. Sometimes happens that in 10-15 minutes of freezes there is a healing, but the thicket isn't helped even by reset.

  • Did somebody ever find a solution to fix this?

I cannot use Graphmate on my PC because it always freezes. It's been like that for months now and I am seriously getting sick of it.
I can't find a solution by googling because this here is the only thread that pops up.

I reinstalled Daz so many times and did the same to Graphmate. (Tried both the 64bit and 32bit version.)

Do bear in mind that Keymate and grpahMate are now, in effect, integrated into the Timeline - have you tried using that?

    Yes, indeed.

I uninstalled and made a fresh reinstall and every time I click in the timeline where the Grapheditor is, it freezes.
I can use the upper part of the timeline, just not the graph editor.

And there is no way to properly animate in Daz without the ability to play with the graph.

  • i have the same problem too, can't see the curve line and it freezes when i click on the graph

I uninstalled my Media Preview Software and solve the problem. Maybe you can also try this way.
