Hello. I'm looking for 1950's clothing for M4/V4...

This is my first post and I hope it has been properly placed. I also hope this hasn't been asked before. I did see a question for hairstyles but nothing on outfits.

With all the neat 50's outfits coming out for Genesis I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and create some 50's scenes but the selection is still limited and was wondering does Michael or Victoria have any great outfits from their 4th incarnation?

Cute, sexy, free, merchandise... it doesn't matter as long as it fits M4/V4 let me know. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Tommy, just to clarify...your using Genesis and are looking for other items work or are you using M4/V4? Or a mix?

    Hello Pendraia.

    I am actually using M4 and V4 figures but I have no problem with converting Genesis clothing into object format and using the poser dynamics to make any clothing fit. So I guess ANY 50's clothing would be acceptable. :D

    Thanks for responding so quickly!

    Okay...I'll have a look and see what I can find. May take a while as I have to go and have some blood taken.

    Thank you very much Pendraia, hope everything is okay.

    I kinda wish daz3d and other sites had a broader search engine, though I suppose some would disagree.

    THANKS AGAIN!!! :-) :-) :-)

    I take it that you have already got Jan19's Galpal from sharecg? She has one for V4 and one for Genesis....

    Off to hunt through my runtime...; )

    They are most of the ones that I know that fit without any work to you theme...

    The only one I would add is Rosette V4 in the store here...very sophisticated 50's though

    If you are willing to retexture here are a couple that are the right general shape and with the right textures/transmaps would work.

    Degas Ballerina has the beautiful large skirt
    Cho's crinolines freebie from Jan19 with transmap would work as would many of her others.
    like Cortigana for example

    My princess with transmap would also work...

    If you looking for a more casual look IA's outfit for V4 the capris and the top...you would need to find a neckscarf though. I'm not sure if there is one in carhop?

    The Rosette for V4 is very classy w/some great textures. A definite buy. I'll definitely have to give Jan19's outfits a more open minded looking at. The Cho's Crinolines II would be a great poodle skirt with a transparency map. As for the neckscarf, yes it does come with carhop outfit. Thanks your very much for your help.

    Now if I could only find some M4 or male equivalent stuff.

    Maybe some retextures of shirts...there should be a black muscle tshirt out there already.

    Jeans...hmmn just trying to remember what they looked like.

    Looks like standard blue jeans would do for guys but you would need to find a texture with a turned up cuff...

    Letter jacket? Hmm.. you might find a baseball style jacket that would work.

    '50s style clothing...

    There are a lot of black leather jackets for M4 and other Poser figures that would fit into a '50s scene.

    Not all 1950s gals wore poodle skirts. Got this on my wishlist:

    Blue Jean Baby by WildDesign for V4 at RuntimeDNA http://www.runtimedna.com/BlueJeanBaby.html

    Nerd 3D Betty Outfit for V4 http://www.daz3d.com/shop/nerd3d-betty-outfit

    The pegged skirt (like Betty's) was in style in the late 50s with the big belt. My cousin Maureen sent me some of her handmedown clothes in the early 1960s with those horrible pegged skirts. You could barely walk in them, and the waist was so high. They had the kickpleat in the back. The fabric was usually something itchy, wool, mohair in a tweed.I never met anyone who wore a felted poodle skirt, but there were full gathered skirts with lots of petticoats under them. Lots of short scarfs tied at the neck, or tied into the hair or tying up a pony tail.

    @ cimaira

    hello cinaira.

    I have to say that outfit is very risqué but then everything done by outoftouch is very sexualized. Thank you very much for contributing!

    @Pendraia

    Thank you again so much. With my lack of imagination I probably wouldn't know what to do without your help. THANKS AGAIN!!

    @randym77

    hello randym77

    A friend pointed out poserworld to me last night. Thank you for your find.

    As for 'At the Hop' I saw that item on turbosquid for $5 dollars more I believe so thank you.

    @ chohole

    @IceScribe

    Hello icescribe.
