Transfer Utility Shrinking Custom Clothing Content Models (Genesis)

Hi,

I'm trying to make some clothing content for Genesis.

Initially when I starting testing I was modelling the clothing around a morphed character. Thanks to the forums I quickly found that I should be modelling around the Base Female Genesis character.

Instead of modelling a whole outfit this time, I just modelled some quick pieces for testing. Unfortunately I'm still having issues.

As you can see in the pics, the clothing has been modelled to perfectly fit the Genesis Female Base. As soon as I use the Transfer Utility, it shrinks the model down. I've turned down the opacity of Genesis to demonstrate what's happening.

I've tried importing the model with slightly larger scale and the affect is exactly the same.

The easy solution would be to simply scale the model after Transfer Utility, but unfortunately there seems no way to scale the clothing once it's 'Fit To' Genesis.

I'd really like to start making some content, but can't seem to get past these issues.

Thanks in advance!

Any smoothing modifiers applied to the item? if so, how many iterations? collisions? SubD?

When running the Transfer Utility on an item modelleda round a morph you must select the morph under Shape for the Source figure, then in the expanded options you musts et Reverse Source Shape from Target. If you don't it will assume that the model is correctly positioned relative to the unmorphed shape and adjust it to maintain that relationship when you apply the morph.

    Hi Richard,

Your recommendation worked like a charm! Thanks so much; I can finally start modelling some clothes for the figure!

    Cheers,

  • Hello,

I have the same problem exactly. Except the ptions morph under shape is not registering so when I switch to it if gives me a list of morphes and when I accept the dropdown stays on default.

Also the option Reverse Source from Target can not be chaeck.

Can you please help me! Thanks.

You must set item shape to 'current' to use 'reverse source from target'.
