    It is kinda art.

    Sanity-safe? Well... you've seen wendy's renders and animations. Kinda there.

    I have been told by a good many people that I shouldn't change my avatar, this one has become so much "Me" that people were asking for it back all the time avatars weren't displaying. Previously my avatars were boring and quite predictable.

    um, Mimic morphs for all the Daz animal anuses anyone?
    I will not post that in product suggestions though I have seen it suggested on the Renderosity forum for M4!
    at least you can post an animal anus on the forum!

    Yeah, but sooner or later we all like to freshen our avatars. I agree the character has became your icon... And the same is through mine... I think It would be interesting to see what your character 'is doing' or 'how she's feeling' next. I soon intend to give spyro some sort of emotion and atmosphere. I wont change my character for the same reason as 'it's our icon' thing. But An upgrade in my case would possibly be some upgraded textures, lighting, clothing changes, framing and expressions... You may go with several of these yourself, perhaps cho is feeling mischievous... maybe she's having a "I TOLD YOU SO" attitude lol who knows lol

    I'm actually considering making use of the eyeshine tutorial, in a changing lighting sequence... He also might have a bit of an attitude too haha!

    Why? Are avatars all broken like the signatures are now??? You have to use new format each time?

    Well there only 3 formats that you can upload for an avatar, so I guess you just have to make sure that each time you use a different format to the previous one.

    png, jpg or gif is all you can use.

    So does that mean we are stuck with only three changes until they fix it (And IF they fix it)?

    I'll try a fast test. I've used all three and the last time I swapped to a format I had used before the Original file uploaded was the one that got displayed.

    With Photoshop Essentials (assuming it will work with high end, too) save layers with Save For Web, tick box for Animate (near top right.
    Change name and save.
    Like so.
    Click on thumb to see animation.

    Test confirmed, that is the First Avatar jpg I uploaded this is what it should be showing right now. The old images are Cached and just getting swapped out at upload time.

    EDIT: For some reason F5 does not work for me with Avatars, I have to kill my cookie.

    Thanks! Didn't want to lose your ad, but I've been saving that gif for when the sig got fixed. Thought it best to take advantage while change was still possible.
