DS 4.9.2.70 - Content loading slowly

I seem to be having something of an issue with loading figures, shapes, props, in fact anything from the content library in DS 4.9.2.

I was using DS 4.9.0.63 quite happily, aall content would load fine, including the base G2F which would take a few seconds to load. All was good. I skipped 4.9.1.30 as there didn't seem anything essential in it. This week I decided to move up to DS 4.9.2.70. The program loaded up at the same speed, the icons in the content library appeared at the same speed (i.e. pretty much instantly) but when loading the base G2F figure it was taking significantly longer, 4-5 times longer at best, maybe more. I reset the database and did a few other bits but still the same. So I thought I'd go back a version, see if it was the program even though I saw nothing mentioned about it in these forums. I jumped back to DS 4.9.1.30 and it was the same slow speeds. So I went back to my original DS 4.9.0.63 and G2F loaded within a few seconds again. This indicted to me that it was something in the last two DS versions, not my hardware, the database etc as none of that had changed.

Some points to mention as they will be brought up:
- DS 4.9.0.63 base G2F loads at decent speeds.
- DS 4.9.1.30 base G2F loads 4-5 times slower.
- DS 4.9.2.70 base G2F loads 4-5 times slower.
- This is only for loading through the content library. Rendering and other things are okay. I don't use Connect, Smart Content or metadata.
- Everything was manually installed, no Connect or DIM was involved.
- Valentina is not on my system. All that was wiped out a good while ago.

With everything still working as it should in 4.9.0 it makes me think it must be the later programs and nothing to do with the database as that would affect all versions. Same goes for hard drive issues. I'd consider sticking with 4.9.0 for the time being but the improvements to Iray in the viewport with 4.9.2 are a big thing for me as it means I could keep it active all the time, instead of switching. I don't really want to have to choose between loading speed and a permanent Iray viewport.
Any ideas what could be causing it? Is it mentioned elsewhere? Any solutions/fixes?

    Thanks for the reply but it seems to have sorted itself after a reinstall.
    My earlier tests left me on 4.9.0 and to answer your first question, the G2F base loaded in 13.0 secs. I uninstalled that version and reinstalled 4.9.2 to get the time for that and it also came out at 13.0 secs.
    Each reinstall had a system restart after it as well, so it wasn't that. Strange. Must be random gremlins but I'll keep an eye on it and see how it goes.
