    FF is up to IV?

never managed to finish XII. or X-2

VIII was my favorite. it let you junction GF to any character.

X was the nicest, but only Yuna could summon Aeons. the graphic for summoning Shiva was xtra pretty.

why can't i make up a character as pretty as FFX Shiva, woas. i'm a loser.

XIV as in "14". 14 is an online MMO and I've only tried the trial when it was in beta. AMAZING graphics, a unique storyline for each race (They do converge later on, but at the start each has their "own thing" to do.), and relatively interesting mechanics.

I prefer games that don't just drop you into the world without any real reason or backstory to why you're there, then just shrug and say "Go and do some crap.". Each race you pick has a cinematic explaining why the heck you are where you are and what you're expected to do - even if you don't get on it right away.

Mine? Well something goes wrong with your airship and it crashes. Now some wolves are attacking you and these two NPC's which crashed with you. They're bickering when the wolves attack. Fight 'em off and then this Treant bursts from the ground and kills two of the wolves (One disappears when it was pulled underground, the other gets eaten if you can believe it) and is about to attack when something else saves you from it.

Another guy comes in after that goes down and then leads you to the village along with the two (Still bickering) NPC's and the people there explain the situation.

I never got to saw the Leviathan cinenmatic, but you get to see him wreak havoc on your ship in one of the races "Intro" videos.

he's a big upgrade from the FFVIII graphic.

i like the turn base battle systems that wait. i'm sloww. :)
in FFX, the characters had to be in a battle to receive points. i would switch out characters in every battle. as soon as i had a level1 key, i sent Kimari on Rikku's sphere grid. in the battle with his Ronso brothers, he was able to steal level3 keys.
    loved blitzball.

you making me feel psyched to play the game again :)

    Buying it or staying subscribed to it? It's a pay-to-play game so buying just the discs is pointless ^_^;

*shrugs* In other news I just stumbled upon yet another sort of "Annoying as can be" sort of commenter. The guy makes a seemingly unintelligible comment, an both me and the artist try and answer what he asked. He then goes on to say that the picture isn't natural (It's a trex. In a futuristic city. About to eat a human. OF COURSE IT ISN'T NATURAL!). We both point this out, then he starts whining about us obviously not wanting constructive criticism and advice (Of which he never provided any) and starts to say every one of his friends are graphic designers for game companies and he helps them fix stuff. Both of his comments completely lacked any sort of "advice", and I highly doubt his last comment has any shred of truth to it.

This is the annoying raytrace shadows I'm talking about. NO REAL NEWS STUDIO WOULD LIGHT UP THE REPORTERS LIKE THIS!

OK. For TV. Nearly there. Right now there is very little contrast, and there should be. The hair and upper body need to be backlit so that a bright "rim" of light falling from the rear is the brightest part. Multiple shadows are a killer, there should be one under the chin (and nose) and that's all. The face needs to be brighter than the body but not as bright as the rim light from the back.

Meh. Really interesting looking game that was in development was announced for pre-order. But...
Well good news and bad news about it.

    Good News:
-Is available for pre-order it seems.
-You get an amazingly awesome and amazing feathered raptor skin for doing so.

    Bad News:
-It's an online-multiplayer ONLY game, as far as I can tell. They've made zero mention of an offline mode or anything PvE style.
-Only way I can see to pre-order it is via STEAM. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Steam V_V

I've had enough online games to last me for a lifetime. WoW was my last. If I ever do jump back into online gaming (Not bloody likely. Especially if it's subscription based.) it'd be FinalFantasy XIV.

So as cool as the game seemed, it's not really worth my time if it's a strictly multiplayer game. Which is a real bummer. Was really looking forward to it's release too *sighs*

The raptor skin you get for preordering:

    impressive :)

@ps1borg: Yeah the game's graphics seem impressive... But I was talking with a few people who tried the beta and apparently the game's gameplay is (currently) very restrictive and fairly repetitive. They compared the game to this other game "Dino D-Day" where you can play as a Tryannosaurus (With gattling guns XD) or hoomanz, and preferred that game over this one despite having shoddier graphics. The trex can eat people when they get KOed, tossing them into the air and snatching them up. There's less fun animations like that - if any at all - in the newer game.

They did say they'd be working on it as they progressed, but from what's been revealed it looks like it's just a "Team Fortress 2" clone that's trying to get by on graphics alone. (The fact you can play as some dinosaurs redeems it sightly, but only slightly.)

And yes Shiva is a regular in the FF series. It's not surpring she, Bahamut, Leviathan, Ifirt, and the rest are in so many games... It's actually surprising when they're NOT in a game. (Shiva, Bahamut, Ifrit, and Leviathan were all names of Imperial Airships in FFXII, but the creatures themselves never showed up.)

I did not get my Dexter video yesterday. Called Netflix to report that. Got True Blood video today. I am watching from season one.

True Blood is rated TV MA. Some think vampire stories are for kids but True Blood is not a kids show. It is an adult show with all the F**king language and sex scenes. (I censored the f word only because there are no D**n flags. Who ever thinks True blood is for kids have not seen it.

True Blood is urban fantasy erotica, not porn. I cannot get porn from netflix but True Blood and Dexter I can. Well I do not think I can get porn at Netflix, as I never looked for it. There would be lots of unhappy people if Dexter and True Blood was not available at Netflix.

I think Dexter needs to go to a therapist or something, but then he has a major problem. he cannot go and say 'Therapist, I am a serial killer of serial killers. I only kill the bad guys. Remember the Bay Harbor butcher. Well that is actually me.' If he said that, his therapist would either not believe him or report him to the authorities.

I remember with Twilight, Edward was killing bad guys but he stopped as he did not want to be a monster. Dexter kills bad guys but does not want to stop even though he knows it makes him a monster. I find that interesting.

I thought Ed / Edward was a boring, common, and just not interesting name until I came across Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. Awesome character who hates killing (even refuses to do so on the battlefield and when someone's trying to kill him).

    .
I'd love a costume of Elric's coat and jacket, but any that came even remotely close to being accurate were hundreds of $$$

I am trying to watch Torchwood, My roommate is on her phone talking to her boyfriend. I find it annoying that she is blabbing on the phone in the same room as me. I find it annoying when someone talks on the phone in the same room as me.

AFAIK it's about a teenage girl that falls in love with a vampire.

There was a "Demotivational poster" involving her, the vampire Edward, and some werewolf... But not only was it a bit disturbing, but I don't know if it's appropriate for the forum and would likely upset any Twilight fans in this thread V_V

He tried summarizing the entire book series with that poster, and as I don't know anything about the series I can't say how accurate it was.

I do not like some of the complaints about Twilight because they do not seem right. I do not like the characters are called emo just because they appear sad. I suffer from depression so does that make me emo?

I've never seen them called "emo" before, but I've heard plenty of other complaints. Mostly pertaining to how uninteresting the character developments are or how "eager" some of the fanbase is, but never emo.
    .
    .
AFAIK "emo" is just a less friendly way of referring to someone who suffers from frequent depression.
    .

Ah, one of the "complaints" that I've seen crop up the most (Less of a complaint and more of a poking at logic) was how the teenage girl expected to have a relationship with a vampire that's likely centuries older than she is (And keeping in mind a vampire is often considered to be undead... This brings up that "demotivational poster" I mentioned.)

No. "Emo" is more or less "pretending to be sad and depressed for no real reason whatsoever, other than to make yourself appear 'cool' somehow".
