Yeah, well, I do this little ritual, making a few remarks about good times shared, the honoring bit, giving respect to life and remembering the joy of the one who has gone, taking into account the cycle of life/death as a small comfort, and a few giant hugs, cause we know any individual, human or other mammal, can never be fully replaced, which definitely needs some serious recovering time for the one(s) left behind, for which I recommend,,, shared silents to let grief go it's natural coarse, spectacular parties celebrating freedom and all joys of life, and many many more hugs,, and hugs !!
A very good old friend of mine died a few weeks ago, he used to be the stage technician of the gratefull dead (and my band), genius argive of anything technical humanity has to offer, inventor of electronic stuff, like some patented thingy that now is part of every mobile phone in the world, and a drug specialist, which was handy as a backup muscle in many outrageous parties we used to give. I was asked to give a speech, and made lots of his other friends cry in the process, and afterwards relaxing with drinks in cushions, and then dinner, had the chance share some quality time with old friends who moved abroad and came over for the occasion, beautiful day.
This tragedy almost ended dramatically if my housemate had not interfered, my friend got somewhat isolated in his last 3 years, so the police found him and lazely concluded that it was a beggar, wanted to dump his body, and his whole history in the trash can, and where completely shocked about that one of my house mates got wind of it.
They refused to give any info, cause we are not family, and explained that extensive research told them he had no relatives anymore, combined with an aggressive BUGGER OF statement, fortunately my friends are better investigators then our stupid government, and in less then 2 days found out both his parents are still alive in the USA, and 2 brothers, who instantly came over, to collect his body, and some paperwork my mate found, and the police neglected which was worth a million bugs, sigh,,, fortunately this ended in respectful closure, silly police.
almost 10am. time to start baking the caramel apples.
i haz a feeling there won't be any trick or treaters this Wed.

A good thing to do, failing to observe observing the proper dignities in death diminishes us all in life :)
Random: Needz a holiday, only 45 or so sleeps to go :)
Move to the USA. WE haz Thanksgiving, the annual gathering together of scattered family members on the last Thursday of November to give thanks that we don't have to spend that much time with each other the rest of the year and celebrate by eating way too much and miserably sitting around watching College Football Bowl Games and wishing we were somewhere else.
Then we get collective amnesia and do the same d#&n thing a month later in late December. And start all over again the next November.
Ah, tradition.

Hey good thought TY :) Have to work the rest of my contract though, at this point in the marathon beyond exhausted but glimpsing the finish line, just over the next hill (I hope) :)
They don't call Melbourne the capial of the long lunch for nothing - my turn today phew can't handle the pace :)
Hot. Full of rich food and too lethargic to take the side off this mac and blow dust out of the vents to quiet the fans down again. Must be start of Summer for us.
Hmmm. I'm thinking Ps1borg deserves authorship of the next complaint thread. Or Misty... You both have remained almost solely in this thread. :-P
@Ps1Borg - I gave your lighting tips a go. You were spot on! The light behind and above the cast, and the point light in front, amazing. Really effective.
Hope Misty is alright, the TV pictures out of NYC are awesome and tragic.
Welcome. Been at it a while :) There is always another way. If you stay flexible and experiment you soon learn what the different types of lights have on offer.
Misty or KK or Rezca haven't had a turn in a while :)
What's going on at NYC? I haven't been watching TV recently

Large cyclone and full moon caused a storm surge like in Brisbane a couple of years ago, except bigger, lots of flooding and wind.

Thats pretty bad, not to mention there'd be millions more people affected by it in New York! Nasty. I was near Brisbane in the aftermath of that storm. You could still see the waterline along the walls of buildings, and all the damage from the storms. Not good.
Three times bigger than Yasi last year
I had a dream that I made a movie that was so good that the ones watching it thought it was made professionally.
Dreams are what movies are made from :)
