qestion about animating
hey, first ever post.
i have daz studio 4.5, and i have seen videos around where two figures are fighting, or grabbing, and the hands stay perfectly gripped on to the other figure, how is this done? do i parent one figures hand to the other arm or something? i cant get a figures hands to grip another figure solidly. any advice?

I have not heard of a way in DS 4.5 - sorry .
Maybe in DS 5 - but who knows .
Casual has a script for that somewhere on the forum
Hi :)
You should be able to create a "null" object,. and have the hands follow that Null,.. (point at)
you can have several objects (pointing at) the same Null object.
However,.. this doesn't mean you don't need to do some animation key-frame work. the "Null" or "target" object is just a helper device
Null objects in the scene don't render.
Creating a fight scene is probably one of the most difficult animations to do. so, if you're new to animating, or new to 3D in general, then I'd suggest working on some simpler animations to get you up to speed with the tools, principles, program functions and options for animating.
Hope it helps :)

note that basically all the animation-related scriopts on my site which are marked for DazStudio 3 also work with DazStudio 4
