Exporting animations

Does anyone know how to export a daz scene with the animation. Whenever I try, it's just a still frame. I'm trying to export to cinema 4d . If no one knows, exporting with bones should be okay. When I try that, the bones don't show up. Again it's just the obj file

OBJ is not an animated format. FBX and Collada can carry animation, along with rigging and morphs, but how well that transfers varies a lot. If you don't want to edit in the destination application look at mdd (export enabled with AniMate 2 license) or Alembic (separate exporter plug-in) which export a cached vertex animation (but don't retain the bones and morphs).

Hi At the moment the full license for animate2 is $60 as opposed to $90 for the Alembic plugin. The MDD exporter for aniMate2 does exactly the same function as the Alembic plugin as it exports the PLA (point cache Data) of an animated Daz figure that you have exported to .obj file This figure will be animated in C4D however any changes will have to made back in Daz Studio and a new MDD file will have to be exported. If you change the geometry in any way ( Different hair etc.) then the new Changed obj must b exported also. It is best to finalize & openGL preview your Character animation in Daz studio before exporting the .obj& MDD data file.
