How to manually upgrade a manual installation of Studio 4.9?

Title says it. I have the previous version of 4.9 to the current release, which was downloaded and installed manually. I would like to use the latest version and manually install that too. Advice on procedure and potential pitfalls would be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.

The installer should uninstall the previous version, as when you isntalled the previous 4.9 version.
Thanks Richard.
The current version was the first on a fresh Windows install, and the first time I'd used Studio in a long time.
When the new version uninstalls the current version, will it record and transfer preferences and content locations, etc, to the new version?
(Sorry for newbie questions that go completely under your head.)
Yes...which is often why uninstall/reinstall won't fix a configuration problem.
There's nothing to record or transfer — the new version uses exactly the same settings files that the older version created. And yes, this is why uninstalling/reinstalling is almost never the solution to any problem involving settings glitches; the uninstall doesn't delete the old files, so they pop right back up again when you reinstall.
Thanks all for your guidance. That seemed to go without a hitch. Fortunately (or, rather, sadly) I've not had time to use Studio enough to bugger it up yet.
Already seeing an improvement in viewport behaviour / performance. Grinning.
