If you decide to have the contest, the actual contest has to has to be here in the Art Studio.  One good way of advertising the contest is to put it in your signature like I did with the It's Raining Men Again contest.  Anyone wanting to spread the word about the contest can have something about it with a link in their signature.

     PhoenixDeFalco,

If you still plan on having the animation contest I would announce it somewhere.

To everyone following this thread. I have just been messaged by a user by the name of nesch who has volunteered a $100.00 gift card to the winner of an animation contest! So if you feel up to submitting an entry, you could win $100.00 to spend on the DAZ Store! Be sure to enter today, if you're interested! Remember the contest theme: New Beginnings. Something that symbolizes the renewal that comes with the new year...Deadline is gonna be set to January 31, 2017 at 11:59:59 pm Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5:00).

    Good luck all!

Where might you suggest announcing it?

Just start a thread here in Art Studio to announce the contest that also can be used for people to post their entries etc. For extra exposure you could try some of the ideas KnittingMommy mentions above smiley

Of note, you may want to let it go a bit longer since a couple weeks doesnt give much time for people to see the thread and then to do the animation. I'd consider maybe giving 4-6 weeks. That also gives extra time for other who may want to sponsor with a prize or gift certificates to contact you etc. If you have any questions or need help with the thread, please feel free to contact me and I can try to help as best I can smiley

Hey 3dOutlaw,  nice animation of a walk cycle.  Are you a Carrara user? Your username rings a bell.

Well, here is an animation, not really titled but labeled "Mikoto Walking"...my first try at a basic walk cycle, and use of VWD for the dynamics in Daz on a confirming t-shirt dress.  Limited the Iray render per frame to 30 seconds, so it would render faster, so its a little grainy:

    I agree wholeheartedly.

3dOutlaw: nice job! Your work is wonderfully clean/elegant. (the little character in your signature is cute as well!)

I really didn't like it when Daz removed the animation section of the forums and merged it with art studio, I totally agree it causes those topics to get buried rather quickly. Some things are posted over in the technical nuts and bolts, some things in art studio, and it's a mess. I'm really enjoying what you folks are showing- thanks for sharing!

Original voices from Miriam Margolyes and Matthew Perry.

Squat Toilet: Aziz (probably), but modified by me.
    Historical Curls: Neftis3D
    Glasses: Ptrope

Created in DAZ4.8, rendered in Iray.
