do you start "AS ADMINISTRATOR" ?

fist time the main program must have full access to create new files in protected place (c:/programs files)

if you are not administrator, change setting in start icon and apply to start always "as administrator"

check if your problem is resolved!

it also suggested to set the TEMP (in F2 preference) could be in another hard disk than the C:/

No, do not run DS as admisitrator - this can cause serious issues.

I can't tell if this is Windows or Mac, on Windows go to C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\Daz 3D\Studio 4 and open the log file - what are the last few lines? (appData is hidden by default, in Windows 8+ you can enable the display of hidden files and folders in the ribbon bar, for Windows 7 you will need to use the Folder Options applet.)

Did it work before ? did you upgrade to 4.9 or is it a fresh install ? if it did work before, have anything changed ?

It looks like it will try to initalize GPU/IRAY stuff just after that but I could be wrong.
