No RIB files in IRAY, and I would not count on getting it either, not an easy task to implement, and sending asset files to multiple machines would break the EULA I think.

I don't know about Rib, but I've been using the Batch Renderer for a few weeks and I think it will do Iray.  Haven't tested it yet, but there are quality options and one of the options is to use the scene settings.  So I think if the scene settings are Iray it may well render in Iray.  I'll check it later on today.

Are you talking about this product Batch Render for DAZ Studio 4 and RIB (http://www.daz3d.com/batch-render-for-daz-studio-4-and-rib)?

It was released almost three years ago (quite a bit before Iray was on the boards) and specifically states in the readme that it is for the standalone 3Delight renderer.

Actually, the statement "or any other render engine that can batch render .RIB files." is not quite true either. RIB stands for RenderMan Interface Bytestream.  Pixars Renderman does not understand RIB from DS because of differences in shader descriptors.  The same goes for Maya.

Yes.  But it really isn't.  I tried it out yesterday, and rendered 3 Iray images.  You have the option to load 3Delight render quality options, in which case it uses 3Delight.  But you also have the option to use whatever render options you saved for a given scene.  I had 3 Iray scenes I loaded into it, and it rendered Iray.  Guess they were ahead of their time when they made it.  I love thie thing.  As long as there are no holdups like the dreaded "duplicate files found" message that pops up quite often, it just goes from one scene to the next.  I can set it to render 20 scenes overnight, and they're done in the morning.  Won't do animations though.

I wonder what version of Iray they use in the Standalone version.
