Whats the best software to be using whilst animating Daz models?

Sometimes i've tried to import more than 2 daz models into Cinema 4D and my computer crashed, also whilst i tried to do the same for 3ds max it kinda lagged and i don't know where abouts on the body i can click so i can select the bone to animate it in a scene?

some use Iclone, and others Blender.
It's about finding one you like; I tried iclone last year, and didn't like it. I don't do much animation so not something I'm after, but good results are possible with Blender, and it is free to try for as long as needed, unlike the month you get with paid-for software.
To the original question
anything you feel comfortable with.
As to the time and results, that's going to depend more on your system, software versions, and personal knowledge.
Depending on how complex the animation is, you might want to try starting in daz studio, then export that animation out, via FBX(i think) and import that into your software of choice.
The c4d crashes could be caused by myriad reasons. The big question here is how much memory do you have in the system and how much is taken up when you add one model?
Also which model are you using?
The rigging doesn't always translate, especially with genesis 3, to other software(afaik).
Depending on which software, and which option you used for export, the rigging may be just a sub-node of another part in the hierarchy in max or c4d.
And you'll have to click expand down to that node to get to the actual "joint".
A few options for you are:
A) buy a copy of Reallusion Iclone Pro&3D exchange
and manually bone map the G3 body& Face rig in that App.
B) Buy Autodesk Motionbuilder and follow the steps in this tutorial

C)Buy Autodesk Maya and carefully follow the steps in this tutorial:

keeping in mind you must re export from daz and repeat if you decide on a wardrobe change during the animation/posing
but I beleive Maya has the Mental Ray engine which is very high quality after you manually redo all your Daz shaders for it.
Be aware that the Auto desk Apps often offer Student discounts if you are attending college so that May save you some money off the cost of your "cloud Subscription".
D) By poser pro version 11 and use the free script by "wildial" at renderosity to bring G3 into poser
They have a subforum dedicated to helping users with this process.
im using Genensis 3 models though
Blender is amazing, the fact that it's free should not deter you from it, it runs circles around many 3D titles out there and competes with software costing several thousands dollars or sketchy demo policies. Just be prepared for lots of tutorials. 3D modeling software is not like "posing" titles. You can learn Studio or Poser or Bryce without a lot of educational material, but this is nearly impossible when it comes to modeling and learning the key concepts behind the necessary tools to make content.
