I've searched the site but I can't find any licence information for Daz Studio. Am I allowed to install it on 2 computers as long as I don't run both at the same time or let anyone else use it?

Yes you can install it on 2 computers
You can find the Daz3d End User License Agreement here.
You can install it on 2 or more computers, providing both computers are under your control, and no one else uses them.
To find the EULA scroll down to the bottom of any page on the site and click on "Licensing Agreement"
Thank you for the information.
I did look at the Licencing Agreement at the bottom of the page but after ploughing through all the legalese I thought it was only talking about content for Studio, not the software itself.
Daz Studio itself is free so it can go on as many computers as you want. Content has to be only you using it
This section of the EULA applies to anything and everything that you download from Daz 3D store, whether it is free or paid for content. This includes DS, even older versions of DS.
You have to be careful to distinguish between what the Free Software people call "Free as in Freedom" and "Free as in Free Beer". The fact that you don't pay any money for Studio does not mean you automatically get the right to install it wherever you want, it is still covered by a licence agreement, although this licence does allow you to install it on multiple computers.
Technically DAZ Studio isn't free, it is on sale for 100% off.
What I did, back in the day, was to purchace DazStudio (for real money)
. That gave me a serial number. Then when Daz decided to give the software away, ![angry angry](http://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/angry_smile.png)
, I purchased it again, a number of times, for free, which gave me a new serial number every time. That way there's no problem in installing it on multiple machines, cause it's a different serial number. Don't know if that still hold true today, but it can't hurt to try.
I intrude into the conversation because I also want to install a version in another PC to speed up 2 different renderings at the same time. I enter with my accaunt on the new computer and install daz and contents. quite right?
Yes. Theer may be limits on how many instances you can have installed, but two certainly seems to be permitted in practice at the moment.
