You really don't want to know
No, sadly enough, it's not available for it.
Just reinstalled, kept the old Firefox. Everything working now.
after the general FF screw-up lately, they finally released a fix for those with older versions, and since yesterday all my other addons work again as if nothing had happened, yay!
as this happened, i already had uninstalled daz deals since there were issues, so yesterday i reinstalled it.
just after i reinstalled it the addon worked perfectly as it did a few weeks ago. but already the next time i opened the daz site, the issues were there again... sometimes the addon doesn't even work at all (no icon in dropdown user menu, no additional boxes, no PC links, no nothing), sometimes the boxes like only wishlist can be checked but they do nothing...
using the daz site without this addon is a real PITA, please can someone help?
Sometimes I have to refresh the page once or twice before it all shows up.
yeah, occasionally it works - but only if the addon decided to switch on in the first place. otherwise i disable and renable it, and it works halfways for one session. maybe. the whole process is totally annoying ~ i guess it's FF related, but i def won't update to 57+, i love/need my other addons too much.
i can't understand why daz doesn't implement a lot of the (imho) essential functions, especially the checkboxes, the %, the price, the PC 6$ and monthly coupon) - it's somehow sad someone has to continue offering an external plugin for those things that should by now be evidently included in the page itself. Ati created it and the idea was new, ok, but now it has been how many years????
anyways, i'm not happy. :/
@Overdrawn might be able to shed a bit more light on this than I can, so let's wait for him to come back. In the meantime, you could try an older version of the addon itself. Mozilla has the archives of all the past versions here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/daz-deals/versions/
@Ati, i thought about this too, and i tried to install an older version ~2 weeks ago - but since i had set my addons to automatic update i think it updated. so i tried again right now, being careful to first set this addon to no automatic updates before i switch all others back to automatic. however, while the 2.3 version seems a bit more "stable", like the daz addon seems to stay on even if i close FF, the wishlist box still doesn't work properly, or at all (and it's the one i use most). the "only show owned" doesn't work either - which is a pita since i had planned to print my list of items with thumbnails to help me actually find what i all have from daz... the rest seems to work i think. i guess. *edit: nope, not stable..
oh and btw i hadn't realized @Overdrawn was away ^^ - i thought they just didn't know why this happens hence no reply :)
Just noticed something today with the plugin (which someone may have pointed out already), but the final percentage discount seems to take into account tax, which the line items do not. Mathmatically, it's all correct, but since the tax doesn't figure into the percentages the sales take off the items, the final percentage doesn't really reflect the total savings I got from the sales. Just maybe something for a fix down the road (unless its already been fixed, and I need to update).
I did not even see that feature before. Yea, that is a little eye opening. Wow...but I guess it is across 10+ years now, with my first item being the V4 Pro Bundle and pwCatch. At least my spent amount is only about 8% of the current or full value. Makes me feel a little better
Thanks for pointing it out!
I'm having trouble with this extension on Chrome; seems to have started yesterday. The DAZ main store page gives me the "page unresponsive - wait or leave" error message. Can't click on anything while the extension is enabled and once I turn it off, everything works again.
Any other Chrome users having this problem or am I the only lucky one?
I use it with Chrome every day, pretty much every hour, so it's definitely not a Chrome issue in general. Try disabling features one by one to see if any of those causes this issue.
It works fine for me in Chrome, too.
After clearing my cache, which didn't do anything, I then disabled all the extensions and added them back one-by-one until I determined which one was causing the problem, and it was the DAZ deals. I am glad to hear it's just a problem on my end though. I'll try reinstalling the extension and see if that helps.
I want my "sort by % off" back! :)
Edited to add: Reinstalling seems to have fixed the problem. I should've tried that before posting.
Computer gremlins...
I'm glad it's working now.
In case the issue comes back: I didn't mean to disable other addons, but the different features of this addon. When you click on the icon, it brings up the addon's options page where you can enable/disable features within the addon.
Okay. Misunderstood you, but will try that if this happens again. Thanks!
I have had the same issue for 3 days now. Even posted in an other thread thinking it was the Daz website. However, after trying on all 3 of my pcs with DAZ Deals and then trying on a work PC that does not have the add-on; the lagging or lack of response on the Daz pages is related to the plugin. In fact, as one sits and waits, you can see that the extra page items (only show wishlist and only show owned) are part of the pieces that are not loaded until after an extended wait time. During that period, the only way to move "on" is to use your browser back button.
Can you please try disabling the features of the addon one by one to see which one causes the issue? This is very hard to debug, as most people have no problem with this, and people who do, can solve it by reinstalling the addon.
Ive got the same issue this morning. I will try the disable stuff and report back...
OK, checking box by box from the top, it failed on the Hide Items checkbox...basically, some of the items show on the main page of the store, others are grey spinning circles, and they never show up, and then Chrome complains about unresponsive. See attached
I can uncheck and recheck and it fails.
I also unchecked everything but the "Hide Items" and it still fails, just to make sure it was not a combination of things...
Thank you for trying this.
Do you have many individual items hidden?
Anyone else who is having the same issue: does disabling this feature help?
I have no hidden items. Here is an example of it failing...attached
And when you turn that one feature off, everything is back to working fine?
Yes, see above: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/4604426/#Comment_4604426
I updated that post and narrowed it down specifically to that checkbox
Can I use you for one more test? :) If you keep the hide items enabled, but check everything under "items I'm interested in" (so everything has a checkbox there), then what happens? Does the problem remain, or go away?
Weird, if I uncheck Daz and Poser in that (with Hide Items checked) it does not hang, but on the main store page I only get: 1255 of 1293 items
Thats not right...it should be 31318 items.
If I just check Poser it hangs...if I just check Daz it hangs...if they are both checked, it hangs...
If you UNcheck them (meaning you don't want to see those items), then it hides all Daz-only and Poser-only items, leaving only the unknown items, so that number is correct.
And if all of them are checked?
Really strange...Today, I just got the notice from FF saying that Daz Deals has been disabled. I went to re-add it and I keep getting the error "Download failed, Please check your connection." My connection is fine...as evidenced by the fact that I am on here and posting. But non of the Daz Deals versions seem to download. Have they been removed from the FF extensions?
My FF has just updated to 67.0 and Daz-Deals works here.
Many thanks for fixing the "View These Artists Together" links!
I'm also liking the Addons checkbox filter, and I have a question about it: Is it supposed to be showing products even though I don't have all the required products? For example, among the results is QX Amelia for Eva 8, in which I own the G8F body and G8F head morphs but not the main character Eva 8. There are many like this in the search results, and even if I use it in conjunction with the "Required Items" checkbox filter, the same results are returned.
