Thank you, @Ati. Now I have a new question. I signed in on a second computer with my email and passcode. When I go to the main store page and select to hide PC+ items and sort by % OFF, I see all sorts of undiscounted Carrara and Bryce products at the top of the list, even though I don't have a check mark by those as products I am interested in. Is there some step I need to do on this second computer?

now, i hope this is just related to your recent maintenance work and the server as mentioned a few posts above, and everything will be back as usual soon.. cuz without your addon, browsing on the daz site will be hell  crying

The addition of the new server was finished on the said day, and yesterday we finally saw a huge fluctuation of prices throughout the day, so that gave us a good test scenario as well. All is working fine on this end, and faster than ever. Your issue is unrelated to the maintenance.

If this is a new installation, and you're still setting things up, I would give it a few more hours. Both the % off filter and the software compatibility list require additional data that are heavily cached (for up to 8 hours).

this doesn't sound too good.. could it be that your upgrade is now only FF 57+ compatible? when i look at my addon page, it says the update for daz deals happened on the 26th so obvs i have the latest version.

or did you maybe make a lot more features depending on being registered? from what i see on the options page, it doesn't seem at all, pretty much everything is as it was before.

would totally deinstalling the addon and reinstalling it again be helpful?

Some of the new features, such as the required items/addon items filters do require you to sync your wishlist/owned items to us (since that's how we populate these two lists), but the things that did not require you to be registered before still don't. I'll let @Overdrawn reply to the other two questions, he knows way more about the internal life of the addons than I do.

I'm back on my main computer now. My new question to rack your brain has to do with the new check boxes for Addons and Required items. I am trying to figure out whether they are "and" or "or" filters. I thought they would be "and" filters, like Only Show PC+ and Only show Wishlist. If I check both Only Show PC+ and Only show Wishlist, I see only items that are in both checked categories (they are "and" filters). But if I check Only show Wishlist and Addons, I don't get items that are both in my Wishlist and Addons. It seems like I get all items that are in either category (they are "or" filters??). Is there a way to filter on Wishlist items that are Addons? Is there a way to filter on Wishlist items that are Required Items? Thanks for your continued patience with all my questions.

They're not strictly and/or filters. They are what's logical based on what else you have checked.

By themselves, they only show the required items or the addon items, depending on which you have checked. Checking both shows both required and addon items.

When you have "wishlist only" checked, it shows wishlisted items AND whatever you have checked (acting as a binary "or" filter, showing you items from all lists). This is so during a sale, you can more easily find what you're looking for, be that wishlisted items, or required/addon items.

When you have "PC+ only" checked, it shows the required/addon items that are PC+ (acting as a binary "and" filter, showing you the union of the lists).

Neither of these two new checkboxes can be used together with the "only show owned."

It takes a bit of getting used to because it sometimes acts as an and filter, and sometimes as an or filter, but once you get the hang of it, it's all logical.

Would it be possible to add a button to list all of the owned products according to the full retail price (not the discount or current price) ... preferably from High to Low? Thanks.

I tried the total spent option but it seems messed up.  It said I spent way too much here since I started.  If it was right and instead of every penny I put into Daz I put into a savings account, I probably could get a nice used car from CarMax.  I found a car that I could afford with the money the addon says I spent at Daz.  I would show you the car I found then it might show I had no idea of a budget for some time or something.

Why does the amount spent seem so high?  The actual price and current price is much, much higher which I will not disclose either because it is so high.

edit: how does it handle store credit and gift cards.  For example I get a hundred dollar gift card (that was hopefully discounted) and gave it to myself and then spent the 100 dollars at Daz.  Does that count the actual money I spent on the gift card plus the store credit?  or does Store credit not count?  If that is the case then that might explain why it got inflated so much.

Edit2: I could not get the nice car but a brand new car that is practical.  Of course now Bing thinks I am getting a new car that in reality I cannot afford because I put that money in Daz not a savings account.

The price of a used car seems about right--if the forum posts are anything to go by. Some people say they could have bought a new car, or even a house, too.

Manually sum up the totals you've spent, and see if it's off. I don't think it will be.

I would but I have ADD.  I am not going to go through 40 plus pages of orders to see if it is correct.  I am too lazy and afraid it is right.

well.. it doesn't really work after all. sometimes it loads (i can see the icon in the personal dropdown menu, i even have some checkboxes - but the don't react = don't filter), sometimes the addon just doesn't load.

and i tried to install a previous version - the 2.3 from july 2018 - and even i set up my addons to no automatic updates just for this - the update date in my addon list shows today, i'm not even sure which is installed. for other addons, i did manage to install previous versions when needed (compatibility issues).

the way it works now, i pretty much can't use this awesome addon, and i have no idea why. i didn't change anything in my browser since what, last week or so when it still worked perfectly  crying

I'll mention @Overdrawn in this post to grab his attention, maybe he can shed some light on this.

By the way, you can check the version number by clicking on the addon's icon in the browser: the right "What's new" section shows your current version number.

  • Firefox just disabled all my extentions including this one.  The message is:

Starting in Firefox version 57, only extensions built using WebExtensions APIs will work. Not sure if your add-ons are affected? See Firefox add-on technology is modernizing and these Frequently Asked Questions for details.

Is this something you need to update for, or did my copy of Firefox just get borked?

  • Hi, my Firefox 66.0.3 deaktivated this plugin today (and a few more addons).

How can i get it back? I will not miss it.

  • Looks like the chuckleheads at Mozilla messed something up.  Firefox 57 was a while ago.  current version is 63.  Oh well.

  • Firefox just craped on all my extentions! This is gone, my ad blocker is gone, video download helper is gone. Those last two aside I really hope Daz Deals can be updated.

    Yup. Nailed me as well.
Ticks me off when there's no option to turn it back on manually.

Mozilla apparently failed to renew an intermediate certificate properly. As a result, because Firefox couldn't properly verify that the addons were signed, it disabled everything at midnight UTC (Greenwich mean) time. Mozilla is aware of the problem, but it's not at all clear that they know how to fix it. Even once they get a new certificate in place, they need to figure out a way to do a push to all installed Firefox browsers to let them know to re-enable any addons that were disabled by the certificate mess.

    Some information at https://www.engadget.com/2019/05/03/firefox-extension-add-on-cert/

There is an option to install the professional version of Firefox, and then override the problems.  My husband did it for me as I let out a wail of agonized suffering.

    This extension is great!!! :D

Have you thought of a function that lets you see only NEW releases?
It would be useful when we're looking for the cheapest new release to use on a sale! :D

The site has this feature by default. On any store page, type "new" (without quotes) in the searchbox in the top right corner, and press enter. Click the blue "Show all" button, and there you go. Sort by "price low-high" to find the cheapest new item.

    YOU'RE MY HERO!!! :D

I used to browse new releases every single time!!! Right now, for example, there are 608 of them :O

You can download it from Mozilla through here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct. Scroll down to What can I do if Firefox disables an installed add-on? You need the ESR version.

There's also information on the setting you still need to change in config to disable the disabling of 'uncertified' plugins.
