I just download the promos into a folder with the item # and product name as the filename, with a, b, c, etc. appended to the file name.  I have folders arranged so it's easy to see what I have in any category.  Tough to do this if you haven't been on it.  But I've done this for several years, now.  This way, if I'm looking for...a hair, for example, for G3F, I go to my folders, open Genesis 3 Female, drill down to the Hair folder and see what I've got.  I had screen captures to show you, but uploading is not working.  Site has been really slow last two days, too.  And sometimes I get a ClodFlare error page and have to refresh.

    Dana

I've been doing that for years, since I first started buying from DAZ. My problem is the time involved in doing it manually and the fact
that the images are no longer .jpg, so they all have to be converted before my OS and paint program will display them.
Like I said, a big time wasting sinkhole, especially at times like this one, where I pretty much cleaned out i3d's store in the 1.99 sale.
I have three pages of products to download and convert.

Well, I'm on Windows 10 Pro.  I don't download the thumbnails, I download the full sized promos.  Right-click, select save image...they all come down as .jpg files, with rare exceptions.

    Dana

Okay, I misspoke. I download the full images on a Linux computer. They download as .webp files, which have to be converted to .jpg.

That may be due to how your browser treats them.  I don't do any file type manipulation, so they are in .jpg format on the server.  Your browser probably does something.  Does it give you a "save picture as..." option?  That may offer the true file type.  It may even be an option it the browser's configuration to save all images as that type by default.  Just guessing.

    Dana

The only choice shown is .wepb.

All I want is a way to automatically download promo images when I own a product so that I can use my time for other things and sort the images out later.
Even if it downloads them as .wepb images, I could batch convert them at my leisure.
I'm not suggesting that it would be a perfect solution for everyone, if people want to take the time to manually download each image, that's fine.
    To each his own.

You might try using the "Owned" product filter and the "All" pagination option, then scroll to the bottom (repeatedly) until everything has loaded, then "Save as..." in your browser and choose "Web page, complete" (or similar). That should result in an HTML file with all the products you own (which are still available in the store...) and their product images. Still not ideal though...but hopefully faster than each image by hand. :)

I'm not seeing the new filter (I'm on Chrome) - where should it appear and how can I make it so?

ALSO I'm having a problem (today for this first time I believe) - when I click on "only show owned" it does what it should, but if I toggle it off again the "hide items I own" box is checked but zero products show. The only way I can get them back is to tick "only show wiskhist" then toggle that one off again.

Maybe these two things are related?

ETA: Ah, I've just re-read the browser add-on settings page and I see that I need to set up an account in order to see this new required items filtering - is it really necessary? I have no desire for notifications to be sent to me because I spend far more time on the DAZ Store (at least twice a day often more to check for new offers) than in email (I only use that once a day, unless I buy a GC and need to collect the code)

These screenshots show the problem with checking owned/not - this is the Stonemason MM store list. Up to yesterday it would have shown "only show owned" as 43 items out of 108, today it shows 43 out of 44, and that 44 persists when I un-check "only show owned".

So, I uninstalled and re-installed when 2.4 came out, and I am not getting this to work at all:  Show filter for wishlisted and owned items + "% off" sort filter

    ...any thoughts?

Here is an image...I find it difficult to shop without this, these days!  :)  Testament to your good work!

@3dOutlaw: what browser are you using?

(Can you try me one thing? If you turn on "total spent," does that solve this issue with the filters after a couple of page reloads?)

Are you using Chrome?  I just noticed it started doing that.  It's the browser, alright!  Normally, I use Edge.  For a couple of things I use the Chrome browser...like when I want to use the add-on to see only things for the PC+ coupons.  That's how I noticed this.  Tried to download images and the only option is .webp.  Annoying.

Why do I not see the show wishlist and only owned buttons in the front page?

edit now they are showing.  They were not earlier.  Strange.

Firefox is doing that now too ... eeek! I want jpg! But it is only at Daz3d.com, so it's not the browser, they changed something.

Not at DAZ that I can tell.  I just downloaded some promo images today...they all showed as .jpg files and downloaded with no problem.

How your browser saves the images does not depend on the addon--it's a native feature of your browser. The addon has no feature aimed at saving the promo images.

I'm using Chrome also and only have the webp show up at Daz as well

    It's also not every time

Gimp 10 can convert them and there's a save as png extension for Chrome however it seems to have stopped working since yeastday when I used it last

Please, guys, let's keep this thread to the discussions about the addon. There are plenty of other threads about the promo image formats. Thank you.

In the past couple of days, Chrome changed the way they handle some of the remotely loaded data files. Today I made the changes to meet the new requirements, but you may still be using an older cache. Please check again in a few hours (the longest cache the addon holds is eight hours). Everything should be back to normal by tomorrow. Please let me know if it is.

One knows that life is a little too attached to Daz when they check their email each afternoon for an Ati promo update; find one; click with interest; and then are disappointed to only discover the inflatable donkey is back.  cheeky I was hoping for a flash sale. (Got the donkey yesterday.)

using firefox (but the 56 version, not the latest!). worked fine until today - or maybe late yesterday, didn't look had migraine - and suddenly i can't sort my wishlist by % any more, nr choose 4 columns. oh??? and on the item pages, no graph any more...

@Ati: aaahh .... are you just working on the addon like on your server, doing some maintenance? this would explain everything cuz my addon is not disabled.

EDIT: i cleared my cache and reloaded, everyhting works fine now. sorry ^^

I just tried it with 63.0.3 and the latest version of the addon, and it works as it should. After updating to 66.0.2, it still works. Although the new features, such as the required items and the addons filter don't seem to appear in Firefox, this is strange. Anyone using Firefox, have these new checkboxes?

Nope, I'm afraid I'm still getting the non-toggling "Only show owned" - it's not a massive problem (since clicking on "Only show wishlist" and toggling that one works fine) but it's a puzzle to me.

Chrome works fine for me, but I noticed something similar in Firefox now. Although there is definitely something up with the new features in the Firefox version in general.

it might actually be my connection.. a while ago my websites stopped loading - we have heavy snowfall since noon MEZ, prolly up to 20-40cm by tonight.. but now your addon work fine and sites load again..

ETO: i wanted to give you feedback about required items and addons filter - but no idea where i'm even supposed to find those checkboxes. on daz pages? in your addon options? found them in the options, but i don't want an account so NVM ^^

I'm currently trying to set up the Daz Deals email option (using Chrome), but every time I try to save, it just keeps having the "saving" grayed out box and not completing.

Any suggestions for how to fix this? (Completely new install of the plug-in as of today, since I hadn't had it before).

Yep, I signed up with my email and used the passcode that was sent.

I just recieved a "Daz Wishlist items that are on sale" email, though when I returned to the Daz Deals Options page, it's not showing anything as checked. (Is that normal?)

It may be that everything is working correctly and I just don't know it yet.

Your browser did successfully sync at least once with the notification server. My first suggestion would be to enable "Allow automatic update," and see if the time below that changes as you add stuff to your wishlist, or remove from it.

All right. I'll give that a shot and see if that works. Thanks!

Edit: Looks like it's saving my settings now, so hopefully I've got everything set up correctly now. Maybe I just needed to hit that "Allow authomatic update" first. Thanks for the help. :-)
