I have to install the Manual Apply script into my Daz Connect library since I used Daz Connect to install this product. I found the Shader Presets/N.G.S. Anagenessis 2 folder. Am I suppose to put the Manual Apply folder inside the N.G.S Anagenessis 2 folder? Or is it suppose to be at the same level as the N.G.S Anagenessis 2 folder?

    Thanks.

I don't think you can manually add any products into a connect folder - I reckon you would need to add it to your main library, it should work from anywhere as far as I can see  the new files don't need to be in the same place as the product although it makes more sense if they are

Exactly. Script doesnt load any shaders. Just replaces maps.

I placed it in my Shader Presets folder so it wouldn't ever be overwritten (I do the full Daz Connect)... as long as you have the correct pieces in the folder, it works anywhere you put it.

    OK. Thank you.

Has the manual been released yet? Since I installed with connect, not sure if it will just get pushed out to my directory or what.

    Thanks.

Yes, it has been released already!

Another. I tweaked translucency a little -- I removed eyebrows and then removed any translucency weight maps. Also, removed maps from glossy and made it a simple white, lowered specular to compensate.

I also like to put the normal bump maps into the Top Coat Bump (I'm a little... surprised that the script puts the diffuse map in the Top Coat Bump, but that's easily changed if desired)

Will's at it again, making me wish I'd bought it.

Nice.  Which products did you use for the armpit hair?

Woops, lost track of this question.

I love the product. I hope to get the G2M version at some point to see if it does anything better than the Genesis version, just waiting for it to go on sale. (and not anxious to get it since the Genesis version works fine)

Now, occasionally when fitting Genesis to G2M/G2F, some of the placement can be a little off. And, of course, one problem with the product generally is that if clothes cover part of the hair, it can be tricky to keep hairs from sticking through.

Thinking about it, what I'd suggest is probably using Supersuit or Ultrasuit, fitting the hair to that, and then manipulating it so that part of the hair is 'submerged' below where the clothes are. Though this comes up so rarely I've never bothered.

  • Is an update still in order for genitalia?

I tend to do two renders when that happens; then do a little postwork

I must try out geoshell at some point

  • Oso3DOso3D Posts: 15,011

This is unrelated to Geoshell, it's a trick to manipulate layered or fit content.

Put clothing that fits tight and has lots of morphs on the figure, put clothing/hair/whatever on the clothing. Hide initial suit, then you can manipulate it to pull/push/move the outer whatever.

For male and female genitalia use the Freebie Script for Non-Genesis/Prop Figures. link to it is in Dimension-Z's first post

For those who use the 3feetwolf gens, there are scripts available on the R'otica forum and on Dimension-Z's DA page (audioslave74).

As for myself, after seeing the audioslave74 Deviant Art gallery I'm now convinced I want this product. I wish my PC would arrive soon but it is in the UK waiting to be shipped and I'm already in my new country, New Zealand. It could be 6-8 weeks before I get started again but I'm itching to play already.

  • I'm getting the whitening effect that is shown in takezo_3001's post. I have to do the same thing Will mentions and adjust the glossiness and other settings (although I think Will has the opposite problem that it's making it darker).

    HI,

    I'm getting an error message?

It says it can't find something, but it doesn't say what it can't find. I just say OK and let it go, but it's kind of a pain and I can't leave the renders unattended.
    Am I missing something?

    THANKS!

    Laura

Trying to get the hang of this with a morph I've been working on. This is the original Genesis figure with an older M4 texture.  I definitely need to find a better hair but the skin looks decent. I think a better map would help, this one is kind of clean for an older guy like this. But so far so good. Will continue to tweak things.

EDIT: I recalled that I recently bought SkinBlender too so I decided to give it a try and blend the M4 Gladiator skin at about 40% to age it up a bit, that skin also using this Anagenesis II product.  That's the second render.

Most of that is also due to me using earlier iray settings for V7/Lee 7, while Rune7 and the newer 7th gen characters have the updated iray settings.

There is a manual?  How would I find that?

  • ArtiniArtini Posts: 9,462

The manual is in subdirectory Content\ReadMe's and the file is called 35273_n.g.s-anagenessis-2-revolution-user-guide.pdf

Search for it on your hard drive or in the zip file IM00035273-01_NGSAnagenessis2Revolution.zip

if you downloaded it manually from your account.

Is this how he will look when we buy him, or do we have to apply the n.g.s-anagenessis-2 shader ourselves?

It's going to depend. He has normal Iray shaders, 3Delight shaders and these. So it will depend on which ones you apply. But he can look like this "right out of the box."

He looks great & one I will want to add to my cart :)

    Thanks!

He's got a thread in DAZ PA Commercial, so any questions should probably go there and not jack this thread. :)

People might be amused, the human parts of this are NGS Anagenessis:

Nice render Will. When I clicked over I happened to be viewing my laptop via it's reflection in a mirror as I sometimes do; it's the fashion in my neck of the woods. Well anyway, I was glad I was!

    Great Character, Laura!

    Thank you!

Is victoria 7 a required product? Here's what I'm doing:

    • Load Genesis 3 female
    • Apply Anagenessis 2 Genesis 3
    • Apply Anagenessis 2 Reset Genesis 3

    I get an error that assets were missing: "data/daz 3d/genesis 3/female/uv sets/daz 3d/victoria 7/victoria 7.dsf"

    Thanks!

Personally I think it should be part of the main product\script. Using the Freebie script and method, they don't match. Especially for dark skins.
