Any easy way to give an outfit a thicker edge?

    I think it's a good effort. It works quite well at lower resolution. I see some artifacting from the mapping in the closeup, but mapping does that. If this were part of a bigger scene, it would look very natural. The white, featureless cloth works against you. It looks blown out. Some color and bit more surface texture would help blend everything together.

    Some displacement mapping would help.

    Wendy's fix for the problem would be great, especially if done when the garment is made.
