Exporting OBJ is a huge task, it's normal for the program to take some time to do it all. It may even appear to stop responding at times, but it will come back under control (unless it crashes, but you have plenty of RAM so it shouldn't happen).

    Whoops sorry!
The LAMH log is located at Users\username\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\lookatmyhairAM\logFile.txt
However if DAZ Studio doesn't respond after starting LAMH the log may not hold much significant information.

Hello, What is your native language?

Version 1.05 is the player, and version 1.0 is the full plugin.

Got the email you sent and I'm in the process of updating the drivers. The file is larger than I thought and it might take a while, but I'll make sure to update you ASAP. Thanks for the quick support! If I had any doubt about buying your product, it's gone now!

Thanks to Alessandro for his quick and acurate fix. It was my drivers. Thought they were up to date, but they weren't.

Now I won't be able to get any sleep tonight while I play with LAMH!

Just one question... I have the same crashing problem, and want to try driver updating first ... but windows shows all drivers as up to date ... which driver should I update manually?

I'd check especially the VGA driver. BTW, did you update to latest 1.5.15 (if you have Win64)? If you need help, please email me at 'info@alessandromastronardi.com'. Cheers

Thank you, Alessandro! I didn't want to bother you with this little problem, I imagine how much harder problems you have to solve ... Thank you for your fast reply, it was the VGA AND the chipset driver together! :) LAMH is amazing, thank you for your hard work :)

This thread is quite old, but hoping someone can help me. On my old computer I had everything installed on the D partition of my C drive. I never installed anything on C unless a program required it. I have the full version of LAMH.

My LAMH used to be on my D drive, but when I updated LAMH to v1.6, I guess I let it go to my C drive. I can use the 3dl 'attach preset' just fine. but when I do the iray 'to obj', it doesn't work. When I look at the log, It keeps reading that it's going to the D drive.  I've deleted all the files and the folder from the D drive, but how do I make LAMH go to the C drive instead?  Also, I don't understand why the 'attach preset' for the 3dl version works fine and the iray 'to obj' doesn't.

My specs are in my signature below.

Snippet attached of what my log file says.

  • Hi, I am completely new to LAMH, I still have no idea what I am doing. Sorry Sapat I would not be able to answer your questions. At first it was working fine on Windows 10, LAMH version 1.06. I went and created a test dummy of it on a Genesis 8 character no problem, and exported as a RenderMan geometry type, it created the hair on the character, well not enough. But it was testing. Then the next time I opened LAMH, the option on the menu changed from New 'Look at My Hair' object to attach a Look at My Hair preset. I am confused is this a glitch, has anyone seen this.

Of course I do not want to work with existing presets, I want to make my own.

I tried to open up both from the menu under; create, new Look at my hair and also I got it open from the panes to actually open up the toolbar for Look at my Hair, either way now all it is letting me do now is attach from preset.

I am not sure if anyone would be able to assist or not with this?

    Thanks
