hmm... I finally got an order in, and had good luck in getting a couple of items from the Originals sale, earlier.
Focusing on architecture this time, I picked up two nice sets, interior and exterior, normally priced at $24.95 and $26.95, seeing that they were now priced at 58% off... right up front!
Went to checkout and got the extra discount for two items... then cashed in the PC March coupon.... didn't attempt going through Paypal this time...
Worked perfectly! ... Final Grand Total = $9.57!
Not a bad deal! Not bad at all!

Still don't get why Daz puts the value category on March madness since the march madness page says the discounts won't apply to march madness... was there no more legitimate categories to put on sale besides one that doesn't get discounted?
...for non PC customers? All items for them in the Value Category are 6.99$ or more..
huh well i guess the non members get more benefit this time than non members from the sale... just seems a little lame. The whole sale is very lackluster. And hey look, only non members get to save on PC membership! Members don't get a discount. Oh wait, unless you were random special people who got emails giving you a massive membership discount.

Not really sure how this would work as true, to set the 6.99$ price, some items already have discounts of up to 58%. Maybe someone like Richard could explain this better.

Well - I did get kicked by the timezone.
Decided to give up on Eternal Sands, put Mountain Trail and Leather and Cut-offs for FM Jeans into my cart - ok, 50% worked - went to pay - went to Paypal, still at reduced price - came back to the Dazpage and without thinking confirmed the order.

I paid full price - obviously the second between Paypal and coming back to Daz3d hit the second of price change.
Remember to look at price at the last page of confirmation before confirming!
There was a banner at about 4am that said all DO's 40% off until midnight. What happened to the sale prices?
I believe that was yesterday.
There was nothing in the daily MM email about it yesterday...just that DO fantasy category was on sale.

Freak Pro Bundle by DAZ 3D was a March Madness Category Sale item (Group 3) on DAY 16 that lists for $99.95.
Shuttlestar Extra Textures Package by Kilbarreto was a March Madness New Release item (Group 1) on Day 16 that lists for $9.95.
Step 1: (two qualifying items by their group) ($99.95*.5 = $49.97) + ($9.95*.5 = $4.97) = $54.95
Step 2: (PC member and Freak Pro Bundle lists DAZ 3D as a Vendor) ($49.97 x .7 = $34.98) + $4.97 = $39.95
Step 3: (owning one of the More Madness items) $39.95 x .9 = $35.96
Final price: $35.96
Is this, or is this not correct?

Looks correct, though my visual field is suffering mirgainey-breakup so I may be missing something.
How do things stand today - Thursday March 21st? Do you or don't you get 50% off if you buy two or more March Madness items? I bought 4 items near the begining of the sale and was told by support that I calculated incorrectly and the 30% discount was correct. So I got fed up and stopped buying. Now it seems that there really is a 50% discount on 2 or more items? DAZ lost a lot of sales this month.
I don't know... I have a lot of older Stonemason items in my cart and I'm all the way to the pay screen.... Discount is 30% not 50%. I came here to check what's up.
So the 50% for two items is not real? This is some trick of the words or do I not understand the sale...?

No. When I placed my order, the sale price showed 30% in the shopping cart (not the little pop-up cart), I expected that when I paid, the additional 20% discount would be added, but it wasn't. The reply from DAZ support said the 30% discount was correct. So a lot of the things on my wishlist that went on sale this month, I didn't end up buying. I really think DAZ should put ALL the items that were in the March Maddness sale over the last 3 weeks back on sale so we have a chance to buy them again.

Wasn´t your purchase by chance on Saturday March 2nd? The 50% discount was not working that day, only the 30% discount was. I also bought several March Maddness items on March 2nd, got only a 30% discount and then filled a support ticket for the difference. DAZ told me the same as they told you: that the 30% discount is correct, that I counted it wrongly. I did not give up though and bothered them until they became so annoyed that they gave me the proper refund. So don´t give up, it´s your money.
I am afraid DAZ support does not check anymore whether the people who say they got a wrong discount are right or not - they simply assume that the customer is wrong and the discount is correct. That´s because many customers are confused, don´t understand correctly how the discounts work any really demand a wrong discount. So DAZ Support wrongly thinks that 100% of customers are like that, and don´t expect that someone like us might show up who REALLY got a wrong discount.

It has for me on my last few orders, although the store calculating the discounts a bit differently than Excel. My orders have been 1-3 cents more than Excel shows.
Because of the oddities of this sale and the inconsistency of the store, I calculate everything before making any purchases.

Let me guess, it was on the 2nd and you bought the Platea bundle? That's what I did, and the bundle discount was definitely broken. And the Sales Support response was definitely broken as well — I was told several times (all the while my replies, screenshots and newsletter links were completely ignored) that the Platea bundle was not part of the MM sale. I did eventually get a refund, but the base problem was never solved. Definitely something wrong there in Sales Support: I had the same problem of my replies being completely ignored last year while attempting (with eventual success) to buy a PC membership renewal at the actual renewal price.
On the bright side, I have bought a few other batches of MM sale goodies, calculated the discounts before hitting the button, and they all came out correct to within a couple of cents. The fiasco on the 2nd seems to have been the only major problem so far.

Except for the aforementioned problem on the 2nd, the 50% for 2 has worked for me every time. Make sure to use the March Madness category to choose from -- if you just go by the category or artist there are things that aren't in the MM category, e.g. items less than 60 days old.

No, I didn't buy the Plateau bundle. It's really too bad that DAZ support didn't say "our mistake - there really is 50% off when you buy two or more March Madness items" - I would have bought a ton of stuff over the last 3 weeks. That's why I said they should put everything that was part of the sale back on sale - I'm sure I'm not the only one who stopped shopping when I got the "the 30% discount is correct" email from support.
Isn't that what the nice shiny new "NEW" flash is for on the store thumbnails? The ones that have it do seem to be only getting the 30% (or whatever) intro sale discounts, so I'd say this is working properly.

The exact same thing happened to me. Don't clik PAY - the 50% won't magically appear.
The 50% is off of the base price, not the discounted price that appears in your cart.
To calculate the MM sale price, multiply your cart price by 0.714 (if you have not purchased any of Skull Cove Complete, Platea, Aiko 5, or Garibaldi Hair System ), or by 0.643 (if you have purchased one or more).
Note: This assumes that all items in your cart qualify for MM.

This whole sale is one big confusing mess, at least for me. I don't know why we couldn't have had the same type of MM sale we've had in the past.

effective prices after MM discount:
Breezy wear 4.05$ ( ~ 68% discount)

Way of the Samurai: 11.23$ (55% discount)
Final total = 17.87$

Well good for you. I do the same thing and it doesn't work. I go all the way to the PayPal payment page and the discount still doesn't show up.
I tried it with Firefox and with Safari. I tried going to the Checkout from the mini shopping cart, and from the full cart. None of it worked - the discount was 30% not 50% - and this sale has supposed to be operational for the last 3 weeks.:roll:
You're sure you're calculating the discount based on the correct price? The price displayed in your cart for MM items is already 30% off the base price, so the 50% discount will be about 28% less than that.
